It does fit my my 8781.
I was leery about ordering the 30b, when the one I should be ordering was a 51s. But after reading what others said about this one and how it works better, I thought that I would give it a try. It does cost less than the 51s and the reasons given for buying the 30b made since. But my biggest concern was would the 30b fit and work in my Aviator, well it does and it does give a very close shave again. The reason that I bought a new set was because the foil on my shaver had developed a hole in it. So I was trying to look around and find the best price for the correct product and I think that this is it.Another tip for those of you that have the Braun razors that have the alcohol cleaning system, you can save yourself some money by replacing the alcohol yourself. When you have a new container, put it on a level surface and mark the level of the alcohol in the container with a permanent marker, so that you know how much denatured alcohol to pour in when you go to refill it yourself. You need to use denatured alcohol when you refill the container, because the denatured alcohol has less water in it than rubbing alcohol, you can find denatured alcohol in the painting section of most stores. Do not wash out the old containers with water, just try to get out as much of the old alcohol as you can, you don't want any water in the container that you cannot get out. Add one half teaspoon of the lemon oil and one half teaspoon of sewing machine oil to the container and then pour in the denatured alcohol to the mark that you put on it when it was new. Do not over fill the container, the cleaning system has a level sensor in it and if it is overfilled you will have to pour out some of liquid until it will work. Also do not put too much lemon oil in you mixture it will help to take away the finish on the plastic parts. By doing this you can save yourself some money by not having to continually buy the new containers and still have a clean razor.

Soooo much better than the 51S!
I own a 360 Complete (8985) which takes an 8000 series 51S cutter. As such, that's what I've always purchased up until now. I used the original cutter that came with it for almost 2 years (I did stretch it a bit too long) before replacing it with another 51S. That cutter lasted me about a year. Both the original and replacements always had an issue with pulling hair that got too long though (i.e. more than one day's growth). So I decided to read through some of the reviews on the 51S and noticed a couple that suggested trying the 30B instead. The only discernible difference being a slight change in the center comb design and the color (black instead of silver).Today was my first shave with the 30B. WOW! Just...wow! What a difference! Being a Saturday, it's been almost a day and a half since my last shave (what...I ate breakfast, played with the kids, watched a little TV), which would normally be enough to pull some hair. When I started shaving, I actually thought that I'd put the head on wrong because it didn't feel like it was cutting anything. So I stopped shaving and took a look at the shaver to make sure that it was indeed in correctly. I then felt my face and it was perfectly smooth! Unbelievable! Honestly, I'm dumbfounded by how smooth and painless this shave was. I've NEVER gotten this close and painless of a shave in my life! Can't say enough about how awesome this cutter/foil is. It's cheaper than the 51S and works infinitely better. What's not to love! Hopefully it lasts at least a year, but even if it doesn't, it's still about 50% cheaper than the 51S (with S&S), so it would work out to about the same price and still be a better shave. I will update this review if my opinion changes, but for now, I'm ecstatic!

Looks and works like all previous replacements
I have seen reviews that say these replacements not as good as they used to be, but I can find no discernable difference between the two or three other replacements I have purchased over the last 20 years of my razor's life. Good quality, good shave! Given the price to buy a new razor, this is definitely a great alternative!

Might not be as good as the original, but serves its purpose
I've had my Braun 7526 for many, many years (well over a decade). The battery no longer holds a charge, but it does work as long as it's plugged in, which isn't too inconvenient. I've had a full beard for about 10 years now, so I haven't had much use for my electric razor. What I do use it for is trimming on occasion. I graze the elec. razor over my beard to trim the longer hairs and make it neat. Along with the spent battery, the blade was dull and the foil had some major holes in it. It worked for what I used it for, but often snagged & pulled my beard hairs, so I went looking for a replacement head and found this. I read all the reviews about the new blade and foil design and how they don't seem to cut as well & quickly as the original design, but was willing to accept that since I don't fully shave my face. As has been said, the blades are now slightly wider and the foil has a different hole pattern. The first couple times I used it, it worked well while grazing over my beard and I thought I wasn't going to have a problem with pulling hairs anymore, but the last couple of times is has done just that. Usually I just use a disposable razor to shave my neck and upper cheeks (everywhere my beard isn't). Since I got this, I tried it out on those areas and it does seem to take longer to shave even the shortest of stubble, but it's hard to remember what it was like when I used to shave with the old design so many years ago. It could be the new blade design, the new foil hole pattern, or both, but it does seem like it doesn't cut as quickly. Such is the way of so many products today. Companies are too interested in making their products cheaper over the years, not better. We, the consumers, are the ones who suffer. For what I use it for, the new foil & cutter will work. They're better than my old beat up old ones. I just won't be using it to shave my non-bearded area very often because it doesn't work well as a precision shaver.
