Surprise package
This book is certainly a surprise to read and a very interesting story. Very easy to read and like the man is talking to you in person. Not a boring story and quite a revelation about the politics and the British involvement in India and China. It talks about the people and their lives on the plantations and their hardships as well as tea. It also blows aways some to the misconceptions of the origin of tea and its rise to an international drink. As it says it's history about tea and how it became the everyday drink in UK. Highly recommended.

Time for Tea?
Only about half way through so far - fascinating book - given the depreciating nature of the title, the book itself contains an implausibly vast collection of times, dates and places, all woven together with a seamless elegance.Riveting.Delivery and packaging were both excellent. Would use the supplier again without hesitation.

A full bodied book of tea history.
Really entertaing book that was a pleasure to read from cover to cover. List of tea terms at the back was nice and his individual story of working in the tea treade gave much more interest and bones to the history of tea. The book does not hold back from the horrors of those cohersed /employed in the tea trade and opens your eyes to the history of the tea trade but without becoming dry.
