EXCELLENT BRUSH!
I am in love with this new brush! I already owned another Escoda that was recommended by my teacher with the larger bristles good for backgrounds and light washes over larger areas. But this regular number 10 has quickly captured my heart.

Escoda Versatil are wonderful brushes
I own several Escoda Versatil and they are lovely brushes that have top of the line performance so I still gave a 5 star review since the issue is Amazon not Escoda. I realize this is a used-like new brush but to have it arrive in a bag that was too tight so the brush was quite bent to one side and the tip was a mess is not like new. I'm quite disappointed in Amazon on this one. Lucky for me that this brush is such high quality because a couple of dips in boiled water put it back to like new condition. I haven't used it yet so I don't know if the performance will be the same. I'll update in a couple of days. I wish Amazon hadn't removed the photo capabilities from the review section or I would include before and after pics. UPDATE: Even though this wonderful brush was damaged from how it was packaged by Amazon for shipping it bounced right back with a few swirls in boiled water. I've painted several things and the brush is simply wonderful to work with.

Excellent brush!
This brush was intended to be the replacement for my defective Da Vinci Cosmotop Spin (that I should've just returned). The bristles are incredibly beautiful and look very much like real hair. The handle is beautiful as well and has a comfortable shape. The versatil is a great brush for someone looking to work in casein or gouache, both of which are a bit harsh on natural hair brushes compared to watercolor. I have never owned a natural hair brush, but this brush could fool me. The water retention is great for this size, and much better than the average off brand 6 round that comes in a set of 12 for $8. The bristles come to a beautiful point with no noticeable imperfections every time.

Great brush for artists on a budget!
I've been searching for a good-quality synthetic brush to use with watercolors and watercolor pencils. After some research, the Escoda Versatil sounded like the best choice (without spending a lot of money). The #6 round is a good choice if, for reasons of economy or simplicity, you want to keep your brush collection small. This one, with a size 9 or 10 round, a flat wash brush and a couple of small liner brushes make up a good basic set of brushes for the experienced watercolorist. It has a nice spring without being stiff and holds a good amount of wet paint. The short handle length makes it perfect for people who don't use an easel.

Very disappointing
I've heard so many good things about this series of brushes and am totally disappointed. The first time I used this brush, with watercolors, I noticed that it felt dry. I needed to load it with more water and/or paint than I normally do to get the paint to flow smoothly. Still, it seemed like a nice little brush with a good tip. Three nights later, it's not holding its point. It's splitting into two separate parts unless it's dripping wet and laying down a wash as big as something over a size 10 brush. This is a size 2! I'm going to put it in my collection for students to fool around with. I've got some two-bucks brushes that held up longer than this one and two painting sessions doing very small work is not a high bar. A complete waste of my money. I'm glad I didn't buy more than one.

Very nice brush.
It allows for control and holding a good amount of liquid. I do watercolor painting.

Best synthetic sable I have tried.
These are my new favourite go to brushes that can match my sable brushes and make me forget they are synthetic. Excellent value for the price you pay as they are handmade. They hold an excellent amount of pigment and water and allow it to flow easily with great control. The point is sharp and so far has not worn out. Good balanced handles. And the brush washes out well between colours. I have the whole set now.

Excellent quality, great price
I bought several of these to try. They work well with watercolor, acrylic and even oil. I’ve been switching to mostly synthetic brushes for all mediums. I find they are easier to clean. And the fibers do not fray and break easily like some do. They have become my favorite brushes and I will purchase more. I highly recommend.

Perfecto
Ha llegado en perfectas condiciones. Una maravilla lo fácil que es hacer trazos mas pequeños y lo bonitos que quedan los detalles. Me ha llegado antes de tiempo y super bien embalado para evitar que se dañe.

Best brush out there for the price . Beats more expensive by far
The escoda versatil has become my favourite brushes . They hold an amazing point and are the most affordable brush out there with this much quality. It is a synthetic brush and I own 4 now and am extremely happy with all of them
