Great for Pedal Boards
I guess I am one of those guitar guys that constantly messes with his set-up. I have built 8 to 10 of my pedal boards over the past few years. I have added new pedals, removed old ones and reconfigured their arrangement multiple times. In doing so, I have tried several types of patch cables. Most have worked fairly well, at least for a while, but nothing is worse than having cable fail on you in the middle of a performance. I like some of the popular name brand solder-less cable systems, but they tend to develop poor connection after a while, even if you don't constantly connect and disconnect. This is why I decided to go back to soldered cables. In searching for a good cable kit, I came across the GLS Kits and Connectors sold by Orange County Speaker and GLS Audio. I decided to give them a try. They have proven to be a very good solution for customizing patch cables for my pedal boards. It does take more time to solder the connectors than to make a solder-less cable. However, the end result is a much better, more durable cable. My current setup is primarily for acoustic guitar, so signal clarity and purity are very important to me. The GLS Audio Connectors and Cable provide a clean signal with no noticeable loss in signal strength or quality. I like the space-saving design of the Low-Profile Right Angle Plugs. They help preserve valuable space on my pedal boards. The final cable assembly has a clean appearance and is solid in its design. This plug is a very good choice if you are looking for a soldered connection. Additionally, their cable (purchased separately or in one of their cable kits) is very good for pedal board applications. It is not a thin cable, but it is not bulky either. It has a nice flexibility and again, it provides a clean signal. I am very happy with both the cable and the plugs.

Perfect pancake connector for pedalboards.
These are well made pancake TS connectors for use on pedalboards and other sound gear. I've made countless cables using these GLS audio plugs. Simple to solder and assemble. Recommended!

EDIT: Product fine, issue was on my end
If you use Mogami 2524, make sure to strip back the inner black sleeve (which is conductive) exposing the clear plastic insulation.

Good value
These are a little thicker than the Switcraft 228, but only by 2-3mm. Still very low profile, so great for pedal patch cables. Good solid construction, good thick metal for the body. These have a solder tab for the sleeve; I consider this to be a plus because it's easier to solder to a tab than it is to solder to the plug body, and I personally don't like to rely on just folding the wire back and clamping it in between the cable and body. Also, one major weakness of right angle plugs is that the plug section can become slightly loose in the body over time; in plugs that don't have a solder tab for the sleeve, this causes the connection to intermittently fail and/or become crackly. The solder tab for the sleeve should eliminate this problem.

Great replacement plugs, as good as good as Switchcraft!
Anyone that uses instrument and speaker 1/4 cables, and has basic soldering skills should invest in these! I don't regularly make my own cables, but I have cables break fairly frequently, and ALWAYS at the bend point of the wire coming out of the plug due to poor strain relief. The solution? When they break, I cut off the old (straight) plug (and about 2 inches of cable), and put one of these on. They provide great strain relief, helping them last longer and also save space behind and in front of speaker/gear cabinets. So far I have had no connection issues with these plugs, as they appear to be good quality and certainly rival the Switchcraft right angle plugs I've uses previously, but at half the price!Pros:-Recycles broken cables-Low cost, high quality connection-Great strain relief, space saving (especially for custom pedal boards)5 stars!

Not much to say
These work pretty much exactly like you'd expect. I can't really say anything positive or negative about it since it doesn't do anything out of the ordinary and it feels sturdy enough that i wouldn't really worry about it.It's just a decent 1/4 inch plug and sometimes that's all you need

Great value for the money!
Great value for the money! The ends are too wide to use next to each other on some stuff like mixers, but for effects pedals these are great!

Good enough.
Based on price, these are very decent pancake style plugs. My biggest issue with them is that, even with abrading, cleaning and fluxing the contacts, solder doesn't flow as readily as some plugs. Regardless, it's not a real issue and solder joints are solid. They work well for cramped pedal boards, they are affordable and sonically they are just fine. A couple reviews mention odd issues and I experienced none of them. These are built well enough. I'd buy again.
