For the first time ever, I received a defective Casio watch: the LCD had bleed lines in some modes; clearly it was a returned product sent to me. Got it replaced the very next day at Bangalore, so all was good. Now the review.The Good:1) After 2 days of usage, watch is fairly accurate, within -+15 secs a day. I am a nerd about accuracy, an indication of quality of the movement and hence the watch.2) Has good features: Home time, Stopwatch, Preprogammed timers, user programmable timers (called intervals), World time, Alarm (1 only), Hourly chime.3) Preprogrammed timers (10", 12", 15", 20", 25", 30", 35", 40", 45") are great to quicly start a countdown quickly without havint to set for games whose intervals are within the list.4) Has 9 user programmable timers (intervals) which run sequentially, great for a workout with different intervals for different activities.5) 100m water resistant, which practically means I can wear it all day - bathing, swimming, rains, etc.6) 10 year battery life (if you use the watch judiciously). Casio numbers are usually conservative, as I have some of mine run over 10 years, which is superb. This one uses CR2025 battery, which is ubiqutous and costs Rs 40 today if you knowhow to change it yourself. Thats Rs 4 per year!7) Great build quality: body, buttonsCons:1) There are two displays - upper and lower. Lower display has 1/100 sec display, upper display doesn't. On stopping the stopwatch, the upper display is the one to be looked at, lower display keeps running. Its weird that even though the watch has 1/100 sec capability, it cannot be used for the stopwatch.2) Stopwatch does not have Split or Lap features.3) Only 1 alarm, unlike other recent Casios at this price point which offer 5 incl. snooze function. Also, the alarm is only a daily alarm, you cannot trigger it on a particular date or date-month or date-month-year or select it to be a 1-time only. I don't use either of these features often, but its worth noting.4) Three silly animated dials which serve no real purpose, but are artifacts carried forward from G-Shocks. The good part is they have a fixed pattern they follow for the seconds (units and tens parts) and minute (units part) unlike cheap watches which just show some even sillier patterns. To me its a waste of screen space which could have been used, for example, to show date in world-time mode, or lap data in stopwatch mode, etc.5) Acrylic glass, which is prone to scratch easily.6) Strap is plasticy, and most likely last 1 year (2 if I am lucky) with the sweat and heat and water contact. Luckily, this is a standard 18mm strap, and easily replacable to a stainless steel or nato strap (see photo, blue strap).All in all, a great watch. It has some whims and fancies, but that only adds to its character. Plus the fact that I can easily customize it with my own straps, makes it uniquely me. I recommend it very much as a day-to-day watch.

The crystal is prone to scratches. However installing a scratch guard will solve the problem. Water resistance is great! Gets only one alarm and not multiple alarms, however the interval timer function is a great tool, it is limited only by the capacity of the user!
