SOBO SB-8 Aquarium Magnetic Cleaner with Scraper, Purple, 1 Piece

My issue was that the aquarium was crammed into a shelf that does not have much space above the aquarium, so to clean it, I had to drain the water completely and take it out. The whole process used to take at least 30 mins and it had to be done once every two weeks or so. This product helps to clean all the sides magnetically. The magnet is strong so the thickness of the glass won't a problem for most aquariums at home. What surprised me was the built quality of the product. Unlike other chinese products, this is quite strong and will last for some time. If you are careful, then it will not cause scratches on the glass. It can cause scratches, if some grit gets under the cleaning surface. I am not so sure about acrylic. The magnet is really powerful and even if the cleaning surface loses magnetic contact with the handle, it will just float to the top of the tank. After cleaning, it would be good to change around 50% of water. Remember that to clean all the sides, you need space in the sides. You will still have to clean out the aquarium filter and gravel once in a while. I plan to use an external filter, or a filter that can easily be accessed from the sides. But, I still have to clean the gravel, maybe once in a year.

Easy to use and cleans very well. No scratches on glass. Removes, algae easily. However, I had to buy a scratch stick also. As, my Aquariums back is touching wall. This item can't clean back side.

Good quality magnet very powerful but product size is very small

I have been using it for now like 2 months and I have to say that this is a great product. It super clans the glass with no extra effort and it is really easy to hold and clean. One thing of this is really amazing that after cleaning the glass with it, I didn't notice any kind greenery on glass for many days . Thank you.

The power of the magnet is very little. It can't clean the aquarium glass

It's smooth. Easy to use as it glides along 10mm thick glass. The scraper is plastic so need to worry about damaging or scratching the glass. It's worth the price as it is slim and won't ruin the decorations.

Nothing to dislike about it. I had this doubt about the power of the magnet. But after seeing it and using it, I can assure you it has very very strong hold and as you move the holder, the magnet scrubber move effectively wiping clean the algae. I think I’m happy with it.
