Yes, this pot will work just fine on your electric stove. Aside from your question another issue that has not arisen is will it work inductively, NO, it will not! Gotham "STEEL" is misleading as this pot is made of aluminum a nonferrous metal which will not work on an inductive cooking surface. Steel and iron are ferrous metals and will work on an inductive cook surface. (Note: the bottom of the pot/pan must be absolutely flat for maximum contact with the cook-top 0
