Beautiful on so many levels !!!!It might not be the best film out there, but it certainly is a great one which has its own comedic and adventurous moments, a movie for the whole family out there and to all those who prefer watching it in 3-D, the effects are seriously good in this film and your choice would be a valid one. Got in two days after placing order. For a surprise, when i received a package, it was empty only CD cover was there. There were no disc and got shocked though the pack was not tampered at all it was intact. I called Amazon, and they were prompt in responding and asked me to return and immediately the guy placed a replacement order. Wonderful service from Amazon here. Next day i received new pack with discs.The movie and quality of 3d is good. Only thing which spoils the entertainment is that movie plays only in wide screen, thats why 3 stars ony (Two black bars). No full screen which hampers the 3D viewing experience. All 3D movies should specify in the specification about this movie format (Full screen or wide screen). Sound clarity is good. Worth to add in the 3d collections

loved the movie ... very good animation and very good 3D effect if u have 3D Tv which can convert 2D to 3D & more than 400Hz motion @ 1080pthe box is very good and sturdy .

Once again excellent & extra ordinary movie, enjoyed by my kids. Awaiting next series. Print is also superb. Moreover for Hindi viewer's it is also in 5.1 hindi Dolby Digital. Thx to Amazon for providing original & genuine products to it's customer.

Purchased for my grandson, who was really looking forward to watching this film. Now have a very disappointed child because this d.v.d. does not work. First attempt would not load properly, but eventually we watched it, but kept freezing in parts. Second attempt would not play at all. A complete waste of money. Though stated used, was expecting it to be in good condition and to be able to watch it. I know it’s not my d.v.d. Player as other d.v.d.s work fine. It’s a good film, if you can watch it properly. Will never purchase a used one again. Very upsetting for me and my grandson. Be wary of buying used d.v.d.s, have learned my lesson.

I missed this one at the cinema but was looking forward to finally seeing it when my Blu-ray arrived, this was a pretty long wait though as for some unknown reason, the release date kept being put back. When it did finally arrive, just in time to wrap it up for my son for Christmas, I wasn't so excited to see it.Today my son and I were ill and he picked this one out to watch and I have to say I was totally surprised at how much I loved it.As the credits rolled I had a huge smile on my face and tears in my eyes, I will definitely be giving it a second viewing very soon.The animation of The Croods is beautiful, I only wish we had seen it in 3D as I'm sure it would look amazing. The story is good, although it takes a few ideas from Ice Age, I didn't know how it would all end and it had us both glued to the screen. The characters were all great as were the voices but I particularly liked Grug (voiced by Nicolas Cage), Guy voiced by Ryan Reynolds,the cute and funny 'Belt' and Eep (voiced by Emma Stone).I love Dreamworks films and it's hard to criticize any of their work in my opinion, there are some stand out films such as Shrek and of course Madagascar but they always seem to get it right, this film proves that further, it is one of the best animated pictures I have seen in a while, kids and grown ups are sure to love it.

The Croods is a charmingly entertaining action adventure from the makers of Shrek! With some top notch animation and a fun cast of colourful characters this is one of the studio's better offerings.It starts off with a short set up and then gets straight into the action. It pretty much doesnt stop for breath from there. Following a family of cavemen that are scared of everything and never venture from the small area they call home you can pretty much guess the story as it comes. However the action beats and comedic touches littered throughout help elevate any boredom.If anything it may be a touch too long and a couple of members of the family are only there to add a little comedy and not much else but all in all a very enjoyable film. Certainly worth a rewatch!

While this has received mixed reviews, I can't help but love this film. It has fun, love, adventure and laughter in excess, with children able to learn a few life lessons at the end of the film.Taking on the concept of a family of 'cavemen' dealing with the end of the world, the film takes it audience through beautifully animated deserts, forests and caverns, all of which include fantastic sequences of action and comedy.Yes, it is like Ice Age in some ways, but that's because of who the film is made by; of course tree will be similarities. However, you cannot fault the ingenuity of the writers - I mean, look at all the fascinating creatures and plant life within the feature!Overall, this film is definitely one to watch. Especially if it's in 3D.
