For protein in general, you cant go wrong with ON Whey. They make the best tasting powder out there. In the past I've had the Extreme Chocolate Milk, and it was incredible. One of those things you crave during the day, because it's that good. I love mint chocolate chip ice cream, so I thought chocolate mint was a no-brainer. It turns out the other reviews were right. It's still tasty for protein, but its not perfect. You need to mix this one thoroughly for it to taste good, and even then the mint flavor is verrry subtle. Compared to the Extreme Chocolate Milk, there's no contest. With that one, you could eat chunks off the spoon and they'll still taste delicious, not so much for the mint. If it's not mixed in all the way you'll get a bit of a chalky taste in your mouth. If you think about mint chocolate chip ice cream it helps pull in that vibe, but it's not exactly comparable. I probably won't get it again, but downing the 5lb tub wont be bad, because as I said it's still pretty good. It's worth trying (in a smaller size) to get your own opinion. Extreme Chocolate Milk - 10/10 Chocolate Mint - 8/10 Worth noting, I take my protein with milk instead of water. Tastes better that way!

I’ve purchased this several times before with no issues. The taste was OK and it blended well. This time around, the powder will not blend completely. I typically use one scoop in a tall mug of whole milk. I’ve tried stirring with a spoon (typical way I’ve mixed it previously) and putting a cap on the mug and shaking it, but same results. When I taste it, I can tell it’s not fully blended… I can feel the dry powder and have to swish it around my mouth before drinking it.

I stand by this brand because I know it's a solid brand. One of the biggest things to me is that they have their protein powders tested for banned substances. I know some other protein powder brands fail in the metals level area, but this one doesn't have more than a normal food would (e.g., spinach). It's always been easy mixing this properly, whether it be in water, milk, almond milk, a shake, with other powders, oatmeal, pancake batter, etc. Flavor wise, the coffee (or coffee-ish) flavors and vanilla flavor are my favorites. The chocolate mint is pretty decent, but don't expect a strong mint flavor. Though I think a bit more mint would be nice, I do think there's a fine line between "just enough mint" and "too much mint" so maybe they were erring on the side of caution. It makes it easier to balance this with other protein shake add-ins anyway, so I'm not complaining. Overall, this is my go-to protein powder brand because I can trust it. Just wait for the sales. Put several flavors that appeal to you on your wish list, and watch them. The best value is, of course, the 5-pound bottles. Another plus about buying it on here is that it still comes in the giant jugs. There are other places that sell it in bag form, but I feel like something like a powder is easiest in a jug.
