YCS Basics 3 Foot 2.5mm Male to 3.5 Male 4 Conductor Audio Cable

I purchased the YCS Basics 3 foot 2.5mm male to 3.5mm male 4 conductor cable to replace the cable on my Bose headphones. Bose wanted an outrageous price for their replacement. This cable worked great. The only issue I ran into is the 2.5mm end had too much hard rubber on it to fit into the headphone jack but a little whittling it down with an Exacto knife did the trick.

I got it to replace the broken cable for my audio-technica ANC27 QuietPoint head phones, and it works fine. The original cable had a tab on the 2.5 mm end that "locks" it into the jack built into the head phones. As a result of that, I had to trim off some of the rubber on the 2.5 mm jack side of the cable to allow the plug to fully seat into the headphones, not a big deal. At first I was concerned about the looseness felt when plugging the 3.5 mm end into the stereo input extension cable I use (I recommend a longer cable than this one) to reach the sound jack on the KVM I use to control all the computers I have running with one set of input/output devices. It turned out to be a problem of a roommate damaging the female end of the extension cable with a larger than 3.5 mm plug. Upon checking this cables 3.5 mm plug into a number of jacks besides the one in the extension cable, it was a snug fit with proper signal carriage. Since the length issue was my own doing and needing to trim the plug casing was due to using a generic cable to replace a brand specific cable, I didn't take any stars away for that. I did take one away because the cable tends to bend easily right where the cable enters into the plug grommet/casing (the spot where power cables almost always end up with broken wires/short) that I worry about the durability of it in the long run. Careful handling of it while in use is a must if you are to have it survive for an extended period of time....

I bought this thinking it would work for the PS4 chat (with Turtle Beach headset) but it doesn't. You cant hear or talk even though it recognizes the mic.The official Turtle Beach cable, which I found online days after, is quite cheap, and works like a charm.The cable itself probably works well enough for other operations, such as a phone.

I ordered this to replace a faulty chat cable for my turtle beach XP510s and Xbox One. It doesn't work at all. The cable is also just very flimsy and sure to wear out quickly.the original cable has the exact same 4 conductor (TRRS) jacks, so in theory it should work fine. But it doesn't. the search continues :(

This cable allows me to use my turtle beach headphones on just about any device with a 3.5 mm audio jack. ( 3.5 mm ) is the standard size for portable stereos, CD players, and most smart phones made today. Ipad,android, IPhone, IPod, and so on. I have used it with my headphones and the adapter for XBOX ONE. Headsets as well. It is also the cable tou need to connect them to PS4. The microphone will work if the device you are using it on supports a microphone. It allows for separate channels between the chat and game volume on xbox. (With the chat adapter).
