So ive been struggling with SIBO, which really limits what I can and cant eat, making it nearly impossible to find safe snacks that dont cause me any issues, or feed SIBO. So when I found these sea salt mochi snack bites I was really excited because the sea salt mochis only contain, rice, rice bran oil, & sea salt. They are gluten free, dairy free, w/ no added sugars. So these are about as safe as it gets for a pre packaged snack option for someone with SIBO. Only thing I'd say is if you have sluggish motility, or gastroparesis, eat them in moderation. I have sluggish motility due to a food poisoning episode that caused post infectious motility issues, leading to SIBO, and these things are addicting, so when I first got them I ate an entire bag in one sitting. Which did slow my digestion a bit, & caused some bloating. But if you dont eat a whole bag and only have a handful at a time its a great snack option in my opinion, so I now always keep them stocked. Im super thankful to have found a snack w/ minimal ingredients that doesnt feed SIBO, and is unlikely to ferment in moderation, making it a safe option for someone w/ issues like mine. They are also SO good, like its hard to not finish the entire bag in one sitting 😄 I havent tried the other flavors because the sea salt ones are the safest ingredients wise for the specific diet I have to follow, but im sure they are great also. I also want to mention, although I have SIBO and tolerate these well, not everyone will, but its absolutely worth trying if you are on a strict diet like me and struggling to find safe snack options.

They are great snack item, just like my grand mother used to make when I was growing up in Japan. She always fried up small pieces of left over new year “mochi” and made crunchies like these. Great taste with warm memories. I also enjoy them on my salad in place of croutons.

I love these. I put them on my salad in my soups and sometimes I just snack on them. I will buy these again.
