NIVEA SUN Protect Super Water Gel SPF 50 PA+++ 140g Squeeze bottle

I used to love a tan but at 50, I’m all about protecting my skin. I’ll admit I had a tanning salon membership many years ago so the damage is done but no sense in making things worse. I’ve tried just about every type of sunscreen under the sun ( 😁, no pun intended). Everything from zinc oxide, titanium, physical sunscreens , and chemical sunscreens. I’ve tried tinted , non-tinted, sticks, creams, high-end and drugstore. I consider myself well versed in what’s out there and this sunscreen turned out to be a game changer for me personally. Its incredibly smooth and light, almost like a hydro-gel in the way it melts into your skin. It’s immediately absorbed and then disappears- no shine, no white cast, no waiting for dry down. I don’t wear a lot of foundation, but when I do they play well together. It’s a pleasure to reapply. I actually enjoy doing it throughout the day because it’s so cool, soothing and moisturizing. Plus, it’s invisible so no walking around with a rouge white streak when using it on the go. MOST importantly it’s actually effective. In my experience, it’s as good if not better then the 50SPF you buy in the US. Sometimes it’s hard to known exactly what level of SPF you’re getting with overseas products but the true test is to wear it out in the sun and see what happens. I wore this throughout August and surprisingly the skin on my face has been gradually lightening up to its natural tone. I guess I wasn’t getting great protection before, some rays were getting through in summer no matter what SPF I used. I think it’s because I hated reapplying sunscreen during the way. Maybe the “ease of use” is what makes this so effective. My husband and teenage son requested I order more and they hate wearing sunscreen! I’d love a tinted version so I could nix the BBCream altogether and make getting ready just one step. This size is great for carrying around with you but I wouldn’t mind an economy size bottle to keep at home. I’ve had this bottle about 2.5 months and it’s still going strong, even with multiple reapplications throughout the day. Lastly, you can’t argue with price!

This is magic in a bottle. I am Scandinavian and very pale, and I know I need sunscreen daily but I HATE either the feel or smell of every single American sunscreen I have ever tried. Japanese sunscreens were recommended to me by a friend and this one a familiar name, had good reviews, and was a good size for the price. This sunscreen is just... easy. Has a nice pump, the product is light and thin, goes on easily, doesn't smell weird (the little bit of mild scent disappears quickly) and most of all... it feels AMAZING. No white cast, no greasiness, no heaviness, no pilling. One minute after I put it on, I forget it's there, while with American sunscreen I am constantly aware of the greasy, heavy feeling on my face and neck. I don't know how well this would hold up to heavy sweating or a ton of activity, and while not expensive, it's not really cost effective to use on the whole body or for. an entire day in the sun. But for everyday life (which is where we really get the majority of our lifetime sun exposure) this is a holy grail item. I use it on my face, neck, and arms/hands every day. To sum up: If you've read this far, just BUY IT!

I love this sunscreen so much. This goes on my skin like smooth butter. It feels so lightweight, it almost feels like you're not wearing sunscreen. It actually smells nice and it's not too strong like an artificial fragrance smell. It goes away after about an hour I'd say. But if you don't like a smell at all, that's something to keep in mind. And it does not pill whatsoever. Once you have it rubbed into your skin it dries fairly quickly. It leaves no white cast. The color of it itself is sort of like a tan-ish yellow and it looks totally fine on my fair skin tone. I'd also say if you're someone who doesn't have a lot of time in the morning like me, then this is great for you. It literally takes me a minute to apply it to my full face. The texture is more on the watery side compared to others that are a cream. I hated how others were a thick cream and it took forever to rub in completely, and it felt super uncomfortable on top of all my other skincare products. This one is seriously so smooth, I love it. The only con is that it took a few extra days to arrive which was expected.

This is the only SPF maybe on Earth that doesn’t sting my eyes, doesn’t aggravate my skin, isn’t oily or shiny, dries down to natural skin texture and is totally clear, sits perfectly under and even over any makeup (if tapped on top very gently). All sunscreen burns my eyes even if it’s not applied near them. This has no scent, no weird fumes, zero texture. It also lasts me like a month and I apply multiple times per day, so it’s a great value. It’s actually thin like it says. I’ve been using it for two years and have never had acne or pilling/creasing makeup. I’m a redhead and I’ve used this at the beach etc with no sunburn. It’s awesome.

great product and does its job! it’s not perfect tho, if i put it on without moisturizing first it feels a bit dry. but with moisturizer and the sunscreen on top, it feels a bit sticky but not in a bad way, i find it makes a great primer for makeup. it’s also very watery so it’s easy to spread and absorbs quickly. the main problem i had is that it is NOT waterproof, sadly :(

The best sunscreen I’ve found for autism sensory sensitivity! If you can’t stand the feeling of sunscreen on your skin, this stuff is super lightweight and thin, so it dissolves into the skin and feels like nothing.
