These are so beautiful at both front and back door. Replaced my original antique brass one that a door installer destroyed. This goes ok on 1920 classic home.

The doorbell button insert itself is a pretty typical round doorbell button which recesses into a round hole in the door jamb (a 5/8 to 3/4 inch hole would be sufficient.) It is lighted with a nice yellow/orange neon glow. But it is the mounting plate where this button stands out. It has a very sturdy solid brass plate that is engraved (or cast) with a lovely design indicative of the four seasons.

Absolutely love this doorbell! Excellent quality. Made of metal. It was very easy to install except for one little hiccup. I did not realize when I ordered this that it was not a flush mounted doorbell. As you can see from the pictures the button portion protrudes out the back a bit. We had to drill a little bigger than a dime size hole in the wall for it to fit flush, but it still wasn’t too big of an issue. You can actually pop out the button to make a template to trace a circle where it needs to go. I would recommend this purchase for anyone looking for an upgrade in their doorbell without a high price. Well worth the money.

Beautiful and stylish!

I'm only giving this product 4 stars because of the lack of details in the listing. First off, it's BEAUTIFUL, brushed bronze color not shinny. the details are wonderful, light is a soft redish/orange. Hardwire was simple to hook up to my existing wires and worked perfectly. However, the details in the listing failed to mention this is NOT a flush-mount replacement, so when I got it I had to have someone come over with a dovetail drill bit and drill a 3/4" round hole about 1/2" deep in the siding so we could seat it properly. if I had know this ahead of time I could have been prepared for the installation or selected another replacement doorbell that was flush mounted so I could have avoided drilling holes into my siding.

Better looking than doorbells at three times the price! Heavy, substantial and easy to install. It took just a few minutes. I'm not sure I get the "3 different rings" but, no matter, it works, it's lighted and it looks sharp. I love it. Highly recommended! Make sure your old doorbell is flush mounted, though, or you'll have to elevate this bell with a block of wood trim to fit the connections. That's what I had to do and STILL it wasn't a problem. I'm awed by how easy this was after putting this off for so long. (I'm female. I was afraid of the electrical aspect of the bell. Turns out there was no worry. You don't have to shut off any power and you don't get a shock. Just hook the wires to the screws, tighten and mount. Presto!)

For a few dollars I was able to replace or old, drab door bell with an attractive brass one. Well worth it!

Looks great, works fine, heavy brass and nice bright lighted button for four months. Light burned out at four months.Can't get replacement light not going to spend$$ for new one.
