Loake Men's 290 Formal Chelsea Boots - Brown

These are my second pair, because I like to alternate pairs so the leather has a chance to dry out. They fit like a glove and after a couple of days of breaking in even more so. Made in the U.K. and made properly with a full Goodyear welt, meaning when the sole does wear out they can be rebuilt. Not a cheap shoe but they last and look fantastic and feel very comfortable.

I love Loake shoes and I hadn't tried their boots to be honest, so I dug my card out and paid for these. They did not disappoint either, although I confess I had trouble getting them on and off when they were new (struggling, sweating and grunting is not an attractive thing when you're sitting down messing with your shoes on a park bench (or in other places, thinking about it). However, despite the initial traumas, I can guarantee they are well-made shoes and hugely comfortable, which is something Loakes always prove to be. As the saying goes "Shoes worth wearing are shoes worth repairing" and I'm now getting them resoled for their second period of indulgent ownership. Lovely...

Wonderfully made product. Looks good wears well and very comfortable. These replace previously bought pair of Loake boots 20 years ago - worn at least every week and still looking good Looks and longevity - Well worth the money. Will need to replace my brown pair soon.

Great quality. Quite small fitting. You may want to order half a size bigger.

They're just as they should be . . . very good quality. I bought them to replace an old and very worn pair.How I wish that Loake would make them in a suede version as well!

Lovely boots but do check the size. These must have been small/narrow fitting as I couldn't even get them on.
