The shoulder strap is not made of the same material. However, I don't use it anyway. Wonderful bag for all the essentials and beautiful enough for fancy dinners.

I've not used the bag yet so I can't say how sturdy it may be. I do love the design but may remove the dangles on the outside because I don't care for them and I don't like the jangling sounds they make. But, I have to admit that it is one of the prettiest bags I own.Update 12.16.2021: I still love this bag! I did remove the dangles on the outside because I didn't like the noise or the look. I made stretchy bracelets with those. None of the decorations has come off which is something I feared would happen. When the bag is riding shot-gun with me in my car the sun catches the sparkles and it's awesome. I've been asked a few times about the bag and I told them to come to Amazon and look for the Peacock bag. I've seen other women -younger and older, admire it from a distance. I wear it as a cross-body when I shop and carry it by the handles when I bring it to work. The strap drops easily into the bag without having to remove it. It's my favorite bag! It holds a lot!

Beautiful. Please note the bag doesn't have a zipper so it has a tendency to tip over and spill everything when I put it in the car seat next to me. Also the sequins rub on my skin or clothes a little so keep it away from delicate fabrics.

Nice size and vibrant colors. I did not like the shoulder strap, but changed it out with another I already had and it is perfect. Recommend!

I wound up buying this pattern and style in another brand because I loved the Phoenix— but the handle on this brand doesn’t go over the arm easily if you have a laptop in the bag. Also, the red is pretty but the pattern really stands out on the black version.

The embroidery detail and sequins are absolutely stunning! I don't know why I thought the bag would be bigger. Butt it works for the purpose I bought it.

I ordered one of the red (phoenix) purses and loved it so much I ended up purchasing one of the blue (peacock) ones as well. I get compliments on both bags from random strangers ALL the time and I'm talking women and men, young and old. Everybody comments on the detailed embroidery and the flashiness of the bags. Most people end up asking where I bought it and how much it was. These bags are gorgeous, especially in the sun. I only wish it came in green too!
