Works Exactly As Advertised.. BUT Read for FYI
This is actually my 2nd order. First set was purchased a year ago and that is what's still on my laptops. I ordered 2nd set thinking I can definitely use it for other devices but really never got to it. Please keep in mind that the review is based on personal actual experience and certain particular laptop models were used for the review.PERFORMANCEIt does exactly how it was advertised or what it's supposed to do. It slides very easily yet smoothly. And not too loose where it can cause to slide back and forth involuntarily.DURABILITYI personally think its sturdy enough considering what it was designed to be for. Stronger, heavier material will only cause it to create the item more bulky. And luckily for me, the adhesive hasn't weakened at all for a year now. I do use my laptop in a high humid area.INSTALLATIONTrying to install wasn't hard at all and took almost no time whatsoever. What needs to be considered is how you're going to place it so that it's most efficient and won't block any of the camera, microphone(s) and indicator light(s).As seen in the picture, I have placed so that the camera lens and indicator light is not blocked when in use. If the slider is completely moved to the left side, it does block the left microphone. When closed, it doesn't block any of the microphones. However, I can work around this by adjusting the slide so that it's not moved completely to the left. It may block a little bit of the camera, but not the lens (circular part) itself so it was no problem. And this allows both microphones unblocked. Not sure why you would want the indicator light portion shown when the camera lens is covered. I believe the indicator light is only effective when actually in use.SIDE NOTEMy current laptop's palm rest sits slightly above the laptop's border frame with no "lip" on the base (keypad) frame. There is a "lip" on the screen frame. Despite how slim the C-Slide is, over period of time or quickly, it will cause some type of physical damage as shown in one of the pictures below the trackpad right button key. Luckily, it hasn't affected the performance on the button key at all. I don't think it ever will, at least for my laptop. Also it creates a slight gap when the laptop is completely closed. Personally, this particularly doesn't really bother me nor affects anything.I'm planning to look and buy some very thin felt (very soft cushion) pad with adhesive to apply on opposite sides of the microphones to use as support and possibly prevent any further physical damage(s).I had originally planned to take off 1 star of the rating for the damage. But honestly, the physical damage wasn't the C-Slide fault. I personally strongly believe the damage was due to poor design on the laptop. And not sure if these sliders can get any thinner than this is already to perform well.I have another laptop (touch screen, gaming) which has no problem with this product. The gaming laptop does close completely with no gap and no damage whatsoever. Can gladly provide pictures if needed.CONCLUSIONI personally think this item was designed mainly for certain and not all laptops. It may work well on any devices that has a camera with no cover and camera's lens diameter no wider than at max roughly half an inch, which is roughly the size of the open/close window of C-Slide.Just keep in mind... how well this C-Slide will or will not work/damage for you, all depends on the model of your laptop/device(s).

A Review from an Internet Security and Privacy Expert (these are GREAT for Controlling Webcam Access during Calls/Webinars!)
First, to qualify my background, I was one of the first Internet security and privacy attorneys in the U.S., and my company also publishes the Internet Patrol, where we frequently write about Internet security and privacy issues. Here's the thing - while the chances of *your* laptop being compromised by webcam spying malware are vanishingly small, there is always that chance (especially if you are on a Windows computer, and/or you are using a Yahoo, Hotmail or other free webmail email account). But much more every day and immediate, having one of these over your webcam means that when you are invited to online conference calls and webinars, the others on the call/webinar will not automatically see you - they will only see you when you are darned good and ready for them to see you - even when the conferencing system automatically turns your webcam on! (Which many of them do these days.)Same for when your kids are invited to Facetime or another video chat service.I consider that latter, privacy use, one of the main reasons to get these things. In fact, putting one of these things on is one of the first things I do when I bring a new computer online. To those who say that they are 'too big' or 'too bulky' - well, I don't know what the heck they are talking about - I am holding one in my hand right now and measuring it, and it is *less* than 1/16th of an inch thick. At less than $5/per (3 for $14.95) get the pack, and for goodness sake put one on each of your kids' laptops too!

works well, but a little wide
works like it should, but just know that if your laptop screen goes all the way to the edge, then this cover slide will be poking out onto your screen just a little bit

I thought I needed these but I didn't.
Its not my fault. I got a new laptop and it had a lens cover built in. It was so well hidden that I didn't see it. So I bought this item. It arrived but it didn't fit. I was perplexed. Then I found the little built in slide and I was embarrassed. I didn't know what to do. I wasn't going to return this item. So I kept them. I have 2 in my desk. Doing nothing. I'll find a use for them someday. Maybe NASA needs them? Or the post office? Or perhaps I could rig something up that automates some process that cures cancer and solved world hunger. I havn't given up hope. Or I might throw them away. Either way. I'll keep you posted.

Perfect Product at an Excellent Price!
This was exactly what I needed at a great price. Pop them out of the package and attach them with the already attached sticky strips in seconds. Slide the cover over your camera, and you're good to go. I put one on both my laptops to give me peace of mind. I love the little American flag, both for the patriotic aspect as well as to remind me when it's open or closed. If it were all black, it would be easy to forget. These things are perfect! A very affordable solution to add security to my electronics!

Pay attention
Came with other orders. So small, I accidentally threw it away with packaging.
