Usually I look at measurements of items I buy because sizes can be deceiving with pictures. I saw in the description of this lamp, however, that it could be clipped to a computer and, because that was what I was looking for, I bought it for my laptop. I bought it for 2 reasons - my keyboard is almost unreadable with the current lighting I have so I wanted a lamp to see the entire keyboard better. Second reason, I attend a fair number of zoom calls and wanted better lighting so I didn't look so orange. When I opened the box and saw the lamp I knew this was way too big to clip to the top of my laptop. And when I turned the lamp to face me on Zoom, the light, even low-level, washed me out. But then I started playing with it. I clipped it to my computer table behind the laptop. It does a great job in lighting up the keyboard and the light doesn't shine in my eyes. The lamp, itself, looks very sturdy. The clamp doesn't move around and the flexible neck is thick enough to not easily break but it is still flexible enough to move the lamp around. As to the lighting for zoom, I found if I moved the lamp to the side and turned on another lamp on my opposite side, the lighting was great. So the lamp is a keeper.

This is what I hoped it would be. It has two colors of light to choose from, one that is a relaxing yellow and the other white enough to be good for seeing colors accurately and remaining alert. With each color, there are two brightness levels, one that provides just enough light to see whatever I need in an otherwise dark bedroom and the other bright enough to be very comfortable for reading. The length of the snaking neck is just right for use on a bedside table similar in height the bed. The clip has adequate protection for the edge of a wooden table, including not only foam pads, but also a fabric band to prevent direct contact between metal and wood near the hinge.The one, kind of odd but clearly disclosed, downside is that this does not come with an electric cord with a wall plug. Instead, it comes with a USB-A plug that is not quite long enough to reach an outlet that is not very close to the surface on which it is clipped. I had to buy a USB-A extension cord and dedicate a charger plug to this lamp. That solution works, but I would rather have had an electric cord like most lamps come with.

This is a great little lamp. Very sturdy clip and the lighting options are good. I would like it to be a little brighter lumens. But it's really perfect for readying which is what I wanted.

This light is awesome--I knew I needed one right away after starting this whole new zoom work culture, and I wasn't thrilled about purchasing some of the larger ring lights that come up in a search. So it was surprising that something much smaller would get the job done! It has a strong clip that fits perfectly on the spine/neck of my monitor and the arm is long enough to position the ring where it creates the best light for my camera. The cord is also significantly long enough to reach a plug.NINJA TRICK: (that I can't take the credit for, I read it someones else's review and is SAVED me) plug into a low-watt USB adapter plug like one for a cell phone. When I first tried to plug it in to my computer USB it did NOT turn on and I was super disappointed thinking I would have to return and get a more expensive unit. But I found the other reviewers comment and it worked like a charm!!I attached a photo of the video clarity with no light, white light, and warm light--the third being my setting of choice for all web meetings. SUPER happy with this purchase in both pricing, fast arrival, and capability!!

I've now purchased two of these. I previously bought this one and one that charges and runs off of that, but the brightness was not good. This one you can toggle brightness, as well as yellow light and white light. I use it mostly for when I'm drawing or coloring. It bends well and the clip is pretty good. Zero problems. Had to buy a second one so I didn't have to carry the other one around from my laptop tray in the living room and my desk in the office.

I bought this to help add light for vid conf. I wanted a longer neck so I could clip it to a shelf and not be staring into a ring light, and wanted the adjustable brightness and color. Works well enough so far, definitely improved my vid conf image. I normally use it at the lower light and warmer color. The clip is strong and the gooseneck holds the slight angle I need (it won't hold a more severe angle). I'm pretty sure it's soldered poorly inside since I've seen it flicker a couple of times when adjusting it, so we'll see if it holds up or fails, as some other reviews have said. (I bought it regardless because every one of these seems to be similarly cheaply made and have mixed reviews.)

I bought this for my wife. I go to bed earlier than her, since I have to get up so early for work. She likes to sit in bed next to me, while I sleep but, she’s always worried the bedroom light will keep me awake.I bought this for her to clip to her lap desk for reading, playing on her tablet, laptop or whatever. It is really cool. It’s very light weight, doesn’t try to tip her lap desk over. The clip is strong and has soft pads, so it doesn’t scratch your stuff. The switch is easy to figure out and has settings for high and low, for both white and yellow light, depending on which you’d prefer, for different uses. The plug is standard USB, very cool for plugging in to your laptop and powering it that way, or you can use a wall plug adapter. The ring shape of the actual light keeps it from casting shadows on your reading surface and spreads the light over a wide area. The flexible arm is great for repositioning the light wherever you want, so it isn’t in the way of whatever you’re trying to do.I’m definitely going to get another one for myself.
