is the inner dimension the same all the way through or is the openings wider than the waist?

Well we're not talking A LOT of measurement difference here. At it's most narrow spot it is only like 2/16"! I can say that a lot of guys "say" they are bigger than usual,..., I am. 3.25" each "boy" and tho they hang, this "Squeezer" is really comfortable. Easy to get on ,..., and more importantly, to remove. The only negative I can say is that on the outside, it started to split,..., like maybe a defect and looks like a very sharp knife sliced it shallowly. It has been that way for months and has not ripped all together or gotten any deeper so I'm not worried about it. But I can say it's an all day item,..., very comfortable and worth the money. (and yes, I use Emu Oil to help it go on easily, do it dry and you'll probably think it's too much trouble.) And actually is pretty cheap for how well it performs. real opening diameter is 1 and 4/16" and is not isn't visible under clothing, underwear, swimbreifs, etc. Good stuff.

What's the best way to wash it? Will alcohol wipes break down the Thermoplastic Elastomer?

We recommend wearing stretchers in increments of 20 minutes or less and stopping use at the first signs of pain, pinching or discomfort
