A very solid design
I decided to purchase this primarily to get quicker, more even cooking and browning with chicken breasts and it works pretty well for that. I will say my only "complaint" is that I now realize 2lbs is a little light, but it says exactly how much it weighs so that's on me. As is, I usually start by pressing down on it for a bit at first, and then once the chicken has flattened out some I can leave it sitting as it cooks.Overall the design is quite smart. I can buy a second one in the future and they stack to create a 4lb weight. It's stainless steel, so I don't have to worry about seasoning like a cast iron press, and it cleans easily. Thanks to its flat edges you can stand it vertically if that works best for your storage purposes. For my uses, the rectangular shape makes more sense than a typical round press (better fits the shape of chicken and bacon).If you want an all-around easy-to-use and clean press, I think this is a great pick.

Unlike a cast iron meat press, this can be cleaned in the dishwasher. I am not sure how versatile this is. I bought it to keep bacon flat. Works perfect for that.

stainless steel steak press
I purchased this press AFTER buying a cast iron one that requires careful cleaning and reseasoning after each use. This one is stainless steel and red silicone (or like) handle and I washed it in top rack/dishwasher. Perfect. It's the same weight as the cast iron one - I am giving the cast iron one up and keeping this one! Works perfectly!

Great product
These are nicely weighted, store together well in a drawer, are very easy to clean, dishwasher does a great job on them, and no rust! Food browns nicely, use them on potatos, meats, and raw veggies. They preheat well, and make meals faster!

Rough Finish
Not a polished dinish like in the pictures but it's a good weight that fits a 10in skillet perfectly.
