Your new digicam brought you here and now you need to know...
Used for my DSC-W290 and paired it with a SanDisk 32g card and works perfectly well!IDK if it's the card or the adapter but the digicam doesn't fully recognize it. That's more of a Sony problem though."Error formatting "memory stick".IT GOES AWAY when you hold down the shutter button for autofocus or you just move the camera around and it adjusts to the light. I went on a trip and took 300+ pictures all saved to the card, all viewable from the cameras own gallery! YRMV!The size was a perfect fit. Read/Write speeds don't seem to suffer. I have a microSD to usb/c adapter which makes it all the more easier to use and transfer/text/upload pictures on the fly. Hasn't suffered any connectivity issues nor has the durability taken a hit from repeated dismounting given how I use it even after 2 months. Durability of some adaptors is questionable and I've heard stories of them breaking after a few uses, but not this one!I know there's another card error plaguing the older sony digicams but for the ease of use and price point it's well worth the risk of testing. Beats spending $20+ on an actual stick duo with less universal adaptability

Perfect for Modding and Extra Storage
This adapter worked amazingly for my PSP 1000! I was able to mod it successfully with no issues, and now I’ve got a ton of storage for games, emulators, and more. It recognized my micro SD card right away and has been running smoothly ever since. Super easy to use and a great value.

Perfect for Digital Cameras
I needed one of these for my digital camera so that I can use the micro SD that I got for it. So far it's working great and helped extend the storage for my camera.

Works well
No compatibility issues when using with my PSP 3000. You can also use a larger sized micro sd card than what Sony recommends with no issue as well, if you wanted to run cfw.

Good product
Good quality, good product

Does exactly what it needs to.
Simple solution for a problem unnecessarily created by Sony. The memory sticks were always low capacity and hard to find. With this I just simply throw in a 128gb micro SD and I'm good forever.

Not for Old Sony Handycams
I got this for a Sony Hybrid Carl Zeiss 40x zoom handycam that's been in my family a while. On my end, I did research to see what kind of memory this one uses-- and on the cam itself, it had the old "memory stick" logo with the words "PRO Duo" within the display. I searched those key words up, and got this. So imagine that exciting discovery coupled with seeing the word "handycam" in the product title.I thought this was the perfect solution and much more affordable than buying the actual Memory Stick, which are crazy expensive due to being basically old collectibles. However, when I put this in my camera, it kept reading "this memory stick is not formatted correctly." At first I thought it was because of an unofficial microSD card I got overseas. But the same error popped up with an official microSD card.I've got to assume that this adapter only works for newer models of any type, be it your PSP or camcorder.I was really excited to make use of my family's old camcorder for vlogs, especially for it's old crappy digital camera feel, but it looks like I can't. If you're like me wanting to use one of these older cams, you might want to opt for rewritable 8cm dvds (which I believe were the standard for this cam of mine. They'll be labelled DVD-RW or DVD+RW. Check the compatibility of both and their differences to know which you'd prefer) or an actual memory stick. Overall, I'm pretty sad.I've read also about how to reformat but there's simply no guides or tutorials for my camera. I read the manual in its entirety, which I feel lucky for even finding, and all the info there was led me to here in the first place. Forum threads on Sony are also not specific to my situation, probably because they're so old. I'll see if I can use this for something else. Just not for my ol' cam.
