MANTA 20-Inch LED TV with Freeview/HD Ready - Black [Energy Class A]

I looked everywhere fore the viewing angle and had to buy it just wondering But the TV turns out to have an excellent angle and looked as bright and crisp from above ...below....and from as far as you like from the sides.As with all small TVs do not expect great sound But the Tinny sound these small TVs have can be improved on this set as there are adjustments you can make and add some Bass BUT you are best adding a powered external speaker or Docking station for superb bass. The picture is superb and all stations seemed to have HD quality with great contrasts. The main thing with any caravan TV is ease of tuning because a touring caravan can be in different locations meaning frequent tuning and easy re tuning is a bonus. Another great thing is the super light weight. It has a 12 volt socket and a 12 volt lead and I got a mains to 12 volt power supply BUT I did not like the Hard wired mains cable and 3 pin plug on the back as well. This is unnecessary and was only added to please people using in a home and not liking a transformer? Two ways to mains power it is a bit silly I think. This was added because the none caravanning public wanted a common power lead and plug and not a 240 volt power supply plug with 12 volt lead! But there is nowhere to wind this lead up out of the way on the back of the TV. This lead should have been made as a removable plug in lead using a figure of 8 detachable lead. But one good thing is the 3 pin plug is really an adapter for a 2 pin plug inside it Simply remove the 3 pin plug and reveal the smaller 2 pin plug inside...Very clever.I had a Cello caravan TV before this and it was rubbish compared to this Manta. The price of the Manta is low as a bonus! Also the Cello 12 volt TV has a 12-month Guarantee and it failed after 15 months, The MANTA I bought has a 3-year guarantee!

I bought this TV to use off-grid via a 12v solar powered system and it works well. The picture is crisp and the sound is perfectly adequate. A few people complain that the sound of these small TV's is tinny, but most of them are bought to use in small spaces such as caravans, or in my case a wood cabin, and in such places where you are within a few metres of it, it's fine. I have only one negative point to make. The tv was sold to me as having a car type 12 v plug lead as well as the hard wired mains cable. It didnt. It had a mains to 12v adapter lead which is not what I needed. I got over this by buying a car type plug and wiring the lead from the ac adaptor into it, then discarding the ac adaptor. It then worked fine on my 12v system. I bought the tv being prepared for this (having read other peoples reviews), so was not shocked when I discovered it was not exactly as described. But people should be aware of this and the seller should really amend the description. That said overall its a great little tv and was posted very quickly. UPDATE: 6/12/19 I have now had this TV for over a year and it continues to function very well on 12v solar energy.

Excellent value 12 volt tv compared to the overpriced market leaders in 12 volt tv's.Picture quality from all angles is superb.Sound not the best but more than good enough when caravanning.Put the money you save on others models towards an extra holiday.

Great little TV with above average picture quality, the sound is not great but I use it with a Bose speaker connected via the audio port also there is no 12volt lead which I knew about before buying it so I simple cut the 240volt plug off and put a 12volt plug on and it works fine don’t know why the manufacturer cant do this over all good TV for the price.

Picture quality and sound is good, but it was brought for a motorhome as it was 12v but doesn't come with a 12v cigarette socket to plug it in without being in mains electric
