There is a reason King Arthur is a huge mover and shaker in the marketplace. The employee owned company strives for quality. They are also innovators. KA is currently working on a sourdough machine that makes sourdough bread dough automatically. You place the ingredients in the designated places and set the time you want it to be ready for baking, It not only kneads and prepares the dough, it also creates the starter for you! You do not need to mess with feeding a starter ever again with this thing. It is well worth the little bit extra that you pay over the grocery store brands. It has a much higher protein count, as well. It is unbleached and tastes GREAT! Please be advised that if you need gluten free bread, they also make quality flours for that purpose, as well. This one is not gluten free. It is the only bread flour I use.

So far, this King Arthur Organic Bread Flour has been great. I like choosing organic flours whenever possible, and this one performs exactly as you’d expect from a high-protein bread flour. I use it regularly in my bread maker, and it produces a nice structure and rise. I’ve also adjusted it for other recipes, including a yogurt-based pie crust, and it’s worked very well there too. The texture and consistency are reliable, which makes experimenting easier. I’ve been using King Arthur flours for years, and this one never disappoints. The quality is excellent — always fresh, clean, and finely milled. It performs beautifully in bread recipes, giving a nice rise and great flavor. While it’s not gluten-free, it’s perfect for classic baking. I’ve baked a lot of bread in my day—most of it edible, some of it resembling medieval weaponry—but this flour changed the game.
