We bought these a while back when two cans were available at a low price on offer. That price is no longer available, so we bought this six-pack to keep the cost down. It's far from the cheapest coffee but it really is fantastic coffee, producing a really smooth but strong cup from our De'Longhi bean-to-cup machine. Now for the best part - the can means the packaging keeps the beans fresh for ages, and is completely 100% recyclable. Find another coffee bean packaging that does that. We haven’t been able to. Well done Illy.

I don’t like most coffee but I love this. A friend who is a complete coffee nut told me about this coffee and I took his word for it and ordered some with fingers crossed. He was right, it’s gorgeous. I have probably reordered about seven times now, and, given that each pack comes with six large tins, I would say that makes me a fan. It tastes great, and tastes great consistently. It is expensive but gagging on cheap coffee and having to spit it out with subtlety is more expensive. Especially on friendships... Buy a pack and give two to your friends.

I used to like very dark roasts but find my palate has changed over the years, and am always looking for a strong well balanced smooth but not bitter coffee. In my case, I think I have found what I have been looking for. This is pure arabica, the sort that gives you smoothness. During my trials and errors I discovered that most manufacturers (especially Instant Coffee manufacturers) tend to use the Robusta bean or a high proportion of Robusta bean (cheaper, stronger and more bitter than Arabica beans). As with any coffee, everyone has their ideas as to what they like and what suits one person does not suit another so I guess the only way is to keep trying until you find the right one. I have, and I have now repurchased this already, and will continue to do so as long as it is available.

I am (like many will claim) very picky with coffee, so I tried many brands. I have to say that this is the best coffee I can get off the web for this price or even more expensive brands. I tried several illy varieties too and all are good, therefore this particular one is just a matter of preference. All illy coffee I had so far had superior quality and freshness like no other.

I normally go for stronger brews but have to say that this coffee is surprising well flavoured, I have played around with the grind and produced very nice results with bot a coarse grind for a drip filter and fine for an espresso, I will definitely buy again
