***UPDATE: I just received my second order of these. I am not pleased at all with the packaging of my items. I ordered four of these 2-packs of Sambucol Black Elderberry Throat Lozenges. First of all, they were shipped with a box of Arm & Hammer Cat Litter Deodorizer. Although there was some plastic wrapped around it, it was not sealed in any way. Therefore, everything in the box smelled like cat litter deodorizer. Each of the 2-packs of elderberry lozenges was in plastic that had a sticky end to it. but it didn't provide any complete sealant of the product within. This is a food item that is non-returnable. Am I supposed to feel safe using these lozenges????????*** I was convinced I was starting to get sick back in August of this year. I was feeling like I did last August when I was sick for over a month. My good friend told me to start taking elderberry, i.e., lozenges, capsules, syrup, etc. I first bought a jar of gummies at the drugstore as that was the only thing with real elderberry they had. I absolutely hate gummies!! And they were pretty tart but since I paid about $15 for them, I will finish them off. I ordered some more elderberry items off Amazon. These Sambucol lozenges are the best. I was disappointed at first because I found they weren't hard drops, but similar to a gummy. But even though they're soft, you don't chew them up. You suck on them. They taste wonderful, and once they get really thin, I poke holes in it with my tooth and chew the remainder up. So going back to my worry of getting sick starting in August, I have seemed to resist whatever illness had tried to befall me. I think I'm definitely a believer. I happen to really like the taste of elderberry. But just like with anything else edible, they're going to be made different ways, and some may not taste so great. I am fixing to purchase some more of these.

I don't love the taste of these, but like this alternative from the traditional lozenge candies. They're like a gummy texture, but not one that you bite into and it'll bite off. It's more like a chew that you suck on. But I like to pair this with the dissolvable pill and helps to soothe the throat. The amount of times I've recommended and have gifted it to friends who now carry it in their cupboard is insurmountable.

Yes it is soothing but the taste definitely leaves something to be desired. Won’t buy again, but we’ll use this.
