Are there any calories in this tea?

Barley tea does have trace amounts of calories, like many leaf teas from trace to about 2 calories per cup depending on the strength of the brew. Standard mugicha will tend to be on the lower side. The roasting will volatilize some of the fat and bake some of the carbs. Soaking the bits of grain that are in the tea generally will not leach out enough calories to count. But the honey I put in it has a bunch (about 22 per tsp, depending on where my bees go to get the honey..) Tisane can be rich enough to have 25 or more calories per cup, depending on the ingredients.
