Best flat I’ve ever used my hair comes out perfect every time

This is the best product my instructor recommends that Amazin product It leaves hair shiny, doesn't damage the hair, and is very good for natural afro hair. A great flat iron for a good silk press.

This hair iron seems to be the perfect size for hair length anywhere in between 2 to 6 inches long. Anything longer would require a 3/4 or 1 inch iron. I would not recommend this iron if you have longer hair due to the fact that the surface area of the actual iron is not big enough to dissipate a equal amount of heat and would be more prone to getting unbalanced results. The heat settings on this iron seems to be fairly accurate and heats up incredibly fast, it will hit 450 deg. (Max setting), within a minute. I could see that this iron would be extremely handy for traveling since it's very compact and heats up quickly. I use this iron every single day and haven't had any issues with heat damage or accidental burns, though a lot of that is due to the proper use of the iron. I have in the past managed to damage my hair using different irons, though most of those cases were due to faulty heat settings on the irons. All in all, I would definitely re-purchase this or recommend it to family and friends.

It’s amazing, worth the purchase

Dissatisfied is an understatement. Purchased on December 24, 2025. Already not getting hot by Feb 15, 2026. Less than two months. That’s with very minimal use as I had braids for 3 weeks of the two months, and I alternate between hot tools. There’s no excuse why 450 feels warms or one or two passes shouldn’t suffice. To be honest, I rarely ever use over 400-425 on my hair, but with this flat iron I use max heat and it’s still not hot. My Marshall’s flat irons have lasted longer and performed better. Very disappointing because I heard good things about FHI, but I can’t say the same. Another issue is the heat dial— the slightest touch and you will unknowingly turn it down. Which gets pretty annoying when you’re trying to get through a head full of thick, long hair like mine.

I bought my first FHI flat iron about 15 years ago. When it stopped working recently, I bought the current version despite some negative reviews, and I'm glad I did. It seems almost identical to the old one and does just as good a job. It reaches the temperature I set faster than my old one did. The temperature setting is located conveniently in a place where it's not likely to be disturbed when I'm using the iron, unlike some other brands I looked at. One change I noticed - the light on the old one that signals when the desired temperature has been reached was solid on the older model, changing to blinking when the temp was reached. This model's light starts out blinking and turns solid when the temp is reached.

Best iron ever! I bought one back in 2016 and it finally died this past June, really wanted the same one so I found it on Amazon, it worked for a couple of days and then it wouldn’t turn on, got a replacement super fast, this iron is the bomb!

Super light weight and perfect. I bought a cheaper brand before and the plates didn’t close properly. This works quick and I like the width for this one better than one inch iron. I have had FHI for over 10 years and it’s worth the investment.

Stop working after 2months!!! Wish I could return it but its already past the time. $200 wasted.
