Q: can I spray it on my hands and then rub on or will that make my hands turn tan to? Is it ok to get in water with it on?

I sprayed it on, rubbing with my hands, laid out, went in water, laid out. No Burn, tanned the body not my hands. Excellent product

Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, it is recommended that the SPF is applied first. The sunscreen should be applied 20 minutes before sun exposure and reapplied after every 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying and at least every two hours.

I don't use sunscreen, but as thick as this is, you better put sunscreen on first.

Q: How many hours after self tanning can I take shower?

I shower as soon as I get to the room. However be VERY careful if you do get this tanning lotion. I got a really bad burn using it.
