Great Board, and Effective Post-Sale Service
Very happy with the v5 until today. Smooth Riding, wishing all their models have the carrying handle, very convenient. Charge speed is nice, I can ride to work, charge it while working, and ride home. The product is advertised as having an 11mi. range and I could never squeeze more than 4-5 mi. out of it. I assumed this is because my route I take is mixed up and downhill, and their numbers are 'lab grown.' But that's fine, it got me to work. I only mention this is it may be a symptom of my current issue. Today I went out for a ride on a full charge - was not even 10 minutes out the door when the whole thing just died. Board is unresponsive, controller wont connect unless I'm pushing along. Reads extremely weak voltage when I'm pushing along (likely just a read on the regenerative charge coming from the motors as I move it), but other than that the board does not respond to breaking or acceleration, and the controller wont even connect unless the board is moving. Went to plug in the board and the charger's light is green, so the batteries must be fully charged, but like I said, board is unresponsive. I'm more than happy to give 5 stars once the issue is resolved, but as it stands, I cant recommend the product if it's just gonna gonk out after a month of moderate use (maybe 20 hours accumulatively?). Sent an email to the Meepo support team with this info, I'll have to wait and see about a response. After about 2 weeks of back and forth, they helped diagnose the problem and shipped me a brand new battery (as mine was defective/not working properly). Communication went really well and my emails were returned next business day. Process probably would have been quicker had I not missed an email or two. All in all I'm really satisfied with the customer service experience. After installing the new battery I went for a ride and everything seems to be working perfectly. Considering my experience so far, If were to ever get an upgrade from the V5 it would likely be another meepo board, maybe a onewheel. Offroad riding seems like a lot of fun.

Good electric skateboard for beginners
I’ve been using this electric skateboard for a short time and it’s been a good experience so far. It was easy to set up and the remote is simple to use, even for someone new to electric boards. The ride feels smooth on regular pavement and the braking feels controlled, which is important for safety. The speed modes are helpful if you don’t want something too fast right away. For casual rides and short trips, it works well and feels like a good value for the price.

Durable and heavy
Edit: It broke after 7 months. Water got into the port, which corroded the battery. Unfortunately it was a month after the warranty expired so there was nothing the customer service people could do. Then after I got that fixed out of my own pocket, the controller broke and is not working anymore. This board won’t stop having problems/ breaking and is NOT worth 400$. Go with another brand, this brand does not make boards that last. Original post- I bought this to get around campus and it’s great! I’ve had tons of fun riding around and getting to class on time. I also bought a bike lock to lock it outside but I don’t trust the people in my college to not clip the lock. It’s extremely durable, I’ve had it for about a month now and as you can see from the pictures, I haven’t exactly been nice to it. She does have A LOT of scratches, which is annoying, because although I haven’t been nice to it, I haven’t gone banging it around and smashing it against walls. As I got more comfortable with the speed, I ended up riding on the 3rd speed whenever I ride somewhere and the speed is very adjustable. The brakes, the reason I bought this one, did very well. It is very heavy and going up stairs with a 20 pound long board is extremely annoying, but I can handle it. This is an extremely good board and I would extremely recommend it!

Worth the Money if You Use it Right
Having owned this board for nearly 3 years now, it’s been a lot of up and down with the board, but mainly due to my extreme usage. The good: The acceleration and speed on this board are phenomenal. Whereas other electric boards/scooters may seem slow, for the price point, you get a lot of speed. The handling is very crisp and the board just turns when you lean into it. Granted this is a standard wheel motor driven board with basic truck suspension, so you learn to dial it back after getting an injury at that speed. It charges very fast in my experience. 45 minutes will give you around 70% of range, which is very helpful if you like to charge in between stops. Range has decreased as over the years due to heat and charging cycles, but all within normal expected amounts that do not infringe on my commute. The grip tape has held up really well all these years, and it hasn’t needed to be redone. Meepo warranty does in fact cover the board for 6 months after purchase, which I will go into. The board is actually very portable with its built in handle and weighs considerably within an average persons holding capacity. The bad: Using the board as my main method of transportation these last few years has definitely taken a toll on it, but I still think quality is a factor. Within the first 6 months, I had Meepo Warranty a new hub motor for the board as it had completely seized from the inside. I should have advocated further on the matter as the tire wear between the two hub motors was uneven. Even after having bought new tires, the thin rubber material they are made from is truly just intended from smooth/concrete and asphalt. Not what your typical city and campuses look like these days. If you live in a city with a light rail or tram, be very cautious as the magnetism will cause the remote control and board to lose connection and you will have no brakes!! I learned the hard way. The ride is quite far from soft, so smooth roads are your best friend. The motors are noisy, which some find cool, but eventually fade out as wind noise takes over. Recently, I’ve noticed small cracks forming in the wood from underneath between the battery and computer module. Additionally, the right motor while not seizing, did crack from its mounting point with the truck, needing a second replacement. Despite the negatives I’ve had with the board and the parts I’ve had to replace, I’ve put hundreds of miles on it in settings where it wasn’t really designed to be used and it’s still taken things like a champ. It’s beginning to show its age now, but for having lasted three years, definitely worth the money I put into it.

The fastest I’ve gone on it was 26mph (around 40kmh) on a slight downhill. It has also held up to 2 people weighing around 50kg each and can still go relatively fast

After about 2 weeks the battery started to cut out randomly even after charing for hours and riding for 5 minutes. It's a fast board so for the power to drop is very dangerous and as a result I have now got scratches on the trucks due to the defective product and I have been injured due to the battery issues. Avoid.
