Lethal Weapon (4K Ultra HD + Digital)

I put together awesome christmas themed movies as a white elephant gift, the best part was it's now a gift for me too. I bought it in a hurry cause it was a great price I didn't realize it also digitally downloaded on my amazon prime library. So I have a hard copy to give away and a digital copy for me.

This and Lethal Weapon 2 are excellent films but be aware that the first never had an original sanctioned directors cut Richard Donner always said that the theatrical cut was his intended version.

I got into a debate with a friend about which was a better movie. Lethal Weapon or Die Hard. I thought Die Hard. While Die Hard had some over the top moments like jumping off the roof tied to a fire hose. Lethal weapon was too over the top. Like rolling around shooting his pistol at the Christmas tree lot. And the end with Gary Busey fighting with a light pole. I said ask Al Leong who was a villain in both movies. So we never really solved that argument.The directer's cut is better with the sniper in the school yard. And this has an excellent surround sound. You can hear the helicopter coming behind you as it shoot's one of the key characters. And I cant hear Jingle Bell Rock any more without seeing the girl jump off the building.

won't buy the Blu rays cuz they're not the directors cut

I see WB is following in Disney/Sony's footsteps and no longer offering BD for older movies in the US. I probably would have bought this if it included the BD since the Director's Cut has never been released here on BD before. The UK version has the BD for the same exact price. When the 4K inevitably starts skipping/stuttering, it was nice to have the BD to fall back on while I wait for a replacement copy.

Looking forward to watching this with my popcorn
