Don’t bother buying these. They are far worse than google translate. To translate anything, you need to know in advance which language to set these to. For instance I speak English and I am almost fluent in Spanish. The reason I am not fluent is because sometimes I need to think about How to say something in Spanish instead of if it being automatic. This app makes me identify which Spanish dialect the other person speaks. It also gets it wrong a lot and I had to repeat myself over and over while trying to get them to work. When I first got them I thought it was my accent so I turned on the Spanish station In my car and used the speaker on my phone- the APP could not translate in real time- it also was wrong and it could not keep up. On top of all of this, the APP needs a lot of work and is annoying. The earbuds need to be certified as a purchase with the APP almost everytime I tried to use them - not paired - recertified as if being purchased for the first time. so if I am not at home with the paperwork they came with, i’m out of luck to translate. I tried several times to get these to work but, let’s be real-as an example, I don’t know if someone is speaking Portuguese from Brazil or Portuguese from Portugal and without that info they won’t work because If you don’t know, you can’t put that info into the app and so it won’t translate. As far as earphones go, they work and are pretty clear, but don’t expect them to translate. The case is pretty and they hold a charge for a few days.

I originally bought two of these with the idea of giving one as a Christmas present. Well when I got them I opened the package and downloaded the software, then the disappointment happened. I should have read the prior reviews for this product before I bought the earbuds. To my total disappointment there was no automatic translation. One, you need to have some special crappy software loaded then you need to know what language is being spoken. You have this delay while the device is translating the language. But the advertisement made it seem like this device could instantly decipher any language and that is not correct.I wanted to send it back and the seller told me it would be too expensive to send back so he gave me half credit. Well I had uninstalled the software from my phone since I thought the software was no longer needed. Since I decided to keep the earbuds, I wanted to at least use it for known languages. There was a problem when I went to install the software. When you first install the software and register to the device this registration gets recorded in some offline storage site. Well when I tried to register the same device again, I got a message saying the device was already registered and I had to delete the original account. Sadly, there was no instructions on how to delete the old account. Although there was a delete account in settings it kept saying the account was invalid. I wrote to the seller asking how to delete the account and I never got a response back.So bottom line please don't waste your money or time on this product. There has to be better ones out there.

I found the product difficult to set up. Earbuds would not stay bound to phone. Return process was a nightmare. When I ordered the product, it clearly read "free returns". Apparently that means free to Amazon only, but free to the buyer. Seller would provide an unpaid return label. In conversation with Seller, I was told return shipping costs would be high because it ships back to China, so I could take 50% refund instead. I shared with seller Amazon's blurb about returns from 3rd parties, which states they will provide free return shipping or return funds without return of product. Seller then said I could send the product to some woman at an unclear address in the US without a zip code. Once the product arrives the Seller would refund the cost, although not clear that they would refund the postage cost. Being uncomfortable with this option, I responded I would take the 50% refund. Our course it is not 50% of what I paid, but 50% of product price, minus shipping, and minus a restocking fee that was never mentioned. Obviously, I will never purchase from this Seller again. But I am equally frustrated with Amazon for allowing "Free Returns" to be in the product page. I spent to much time on this order that I don't have the interest to contact Amazon again. Just letting people know, do not count on "free returns" to mean it will be free to you. And unless you are a techy type person, don't bother with these earbuds.

The more you use them the better they are. You need to have the app open on your phone for them to work. I had hoped they would be independent, but at the price point the tech is not there yet.

I just got these December 2024. After reading over the instructions (3 fold out pages- User Guide has the bar code you need to bind the earphones), I was able to get my earphones to translate with the help of my son. It took a few tries but they work I had a friend talk to me in Spanish and the translation was clear and accurate. I would rate these as a five star but gave four star since the instructions print too small and confusing. You have to download the app (alcool market) and pair the earphones to the cellphone. Once you do this you need to find the code (serious of letters under the bar code in USER GUIDE ) and bind the earphones to the cellphone. Might take a few minutes to get translation to work. I tested these in Spanish, Vietnamese, Urdu and Chinese. All worked well.
