390050 All Metal Polish Tube - 1.76 oz.

This stuff is great and shined up my vintage brass lamps nicely. I bought 3 different top brands as recommended on Reddit. This one came in second next to Flitz which is more expensive. I think it’s much easier to remove than brasso but it is a small tube. No odor. There is nothing fast about shining brass. It still took me 2-3 rounds of removing the layers of tarnish after neglecting them for over 4-5 years.

This stuff is amazing!! I just love the soft, creamy texture. It's gentle and much less abrasive than some other polishes (such as Brasso), but cleans and polishes extremely well. I've used it primarily to clean/polish vintage jewelry, but it works great on any type of metal. I've also used it on some plastic jewelry pieces- it didn't take all of the scratches out, but it helped soften them and also restored dull finishes a bit. It's worked wonderfully for everything I've tried it on, but if you're unsure or have a valuable piece I suggest testing on a hidden area first, just to be safe. Apparently you can use it to test Bakelite too. If this claim is accurate, then some of my pieces must be Bakelite! Super cool! For super icky, caked on grime, extremely dirty metal pieces that are larger and/or not delicate, I generally use a more abrasive cleaner first just to speed things up. Then, I follow up with a touch of Simichrome for a lovely, luxurious shine. Simichrome is pricier than some polishes, but totally worth the investment. A little goes a long way and it polishes beautifully. Definitely my favorite metal polish ever!

Removed heavy water spots on my chrome shower handle and trim. I was considering replacing, but now I don't need to. I used a glove, some paper towels, and a decent amount of effort. Turn on the exhaust if you have one because the smell is strong. I'm super happy with the results!

This is the best stuff for any kind of metal or plastic. It not only cleans up rust from stainless steel and tarnish from copper and silver, it applies a nice finish that delays further tarnish for a good several months and shines antique bakelite and plastic. I use it on an antique silver trombone, brass pitcher, a copper tray, ornate metal scrollwork from an old record player, even on antique fountain pens.

Works well as it has done for many years but it sure is expensive! Not sure it is worth the price.

I had some old pocket watch cases that were tarnished and grimy. This stuff is amazing. Cleaned and polished with very little effort. I will be buying this again.

I have used Simichrome for years, mainly for polishing brass or chrome. I think it's one of the best products for polishing metal manually that's out there. It seems to work a bit quicker on heavily tarnished materials than other products I have used, so it MAY have a bit more abrasive content than other common products. I really don't know, but I've always been very pleased with it. Not cheap, but good.
