Great Equipment; Don’t Listen To The Complaints
I have been wanting this item very badly since March 2021 and at first purchased via the website but after going through their horrible customer service and then shipping for my order kept being pushed back, I decided to cancel the order, get a refund and repurchase via Amazon since I’m an Amazon shopaholic! Sooo it was sold out even on Amazon just until recently in mid June 2021 so I had to wait and then made the purchase. I will say I was totally hesitant, a little fearful and unsure after reading all the horrible comments on Amazon about this item and how it’s broken down, etc but I just had to get something to exercise on and this IS the best option next to actual walking for me because it gives you a complete full body workout and so after reading all the horrible reviews from various other buyers I decided to go ahead and made my purchase and guess what!?!.......... I’m soooo glad I did :) I’m nearly 300lbs and I had absolutely ZERO/NONE problems with anything of this equipment! My husband being a foreman put everything together for me and read through the directions and I held it up at first to allow him to work promptly and he put it together perfectly!! ITS AMAZING!!! I’ve been using for over a month now and have had no problems whatsoever none!!! I clip my cell phone on to watch movies, tv shows and listen to music while I work out and it gives me a complete full body work out! I’ve had no issues, no hearing weird sounds, NOTHING!!! It’s perfect! I was super worried because of my weight but I’m proof and can tell others this machine really does hold up to 300lbs as I’m 295 and again have had no problems! If anyone else who is plus size is looking for something to help you loose weight in the privacy and comfort of your home, I recommend you purchase this equipment!****Update**** 7/31/21So again, I’m a plus size woman and this sucker is STILL holding up!! Nothing is wrong with it whatsoever!! I haven’t weighed myself yet (I keep forgetting weighing must be done first thing in the am after going to the restroom) BUT with the warm ups I do on my arms with 2lb weights and legs with resistance band (level 4) before I even get on the Maxi Climber (ohh and I’m using it 5 or 6 days a week) I can see and feel a difference in my thighs and arms and also stomach ...they are getting more toned! Also let me just add that my work out consist of me getting on the Maxi Climber MULTIPLE times a day...as at first I could only last 30 secs on there....now I can last a few mins before I tire out and then get down...take a break to cool off and then he try back on....I do this multiple times and I like it ...I’m not giving up but I am going at my own pace! There is no way I like stay on their a complete 30 mins straight HECK NO I would fall and pass out while on there! So I’m going at my own pace and love it! It’s STILL not broken down! Holds up my weight perfectly! No crazy sounds! Holds my phone up for me to watch TV and play music! Everything is perfect!! Again, don’t trust all the horrible and negative comments from ppl who more than likely didn’t put it together well or even maybe were too rough with it and they broken it! I just find it amazing I’m close to 300lbs and it works perfect for me! Will give another update in a few months!

Impartial Review - Two Thumbs Up
I'd like to add my comments about this product. I don't usually write product reviews, but I use others' comments when I decide whether to buy a product. First, about me: age >60, a former sub-2:36 marathoner, with ongoing fitness goals of maintaining proper weight, strength, muscle mass, and avoiding athletic injury.WHY I PURCHASED: I already have two great cardio machines for my home. I do strength training. But I travel for my work, and with COVID I wanted to be able to workout in any hotel/motel where I might stay. I've found that folded, I can put the MaxClimber XL-2000 hydraulic into my car. Yes it's a bit bulky for that but possible. I've left the arm support bars off the machine for my purposes.QUALITY of the WORKOUT is outstanding, considering what you are paying for this machine. I'm able to quickly get to an aerobic level of training and maintain it. I cycle between 3 different "strides" on the machine: 1) a long, extended "crawl" motion at a slower cadence. This requires more strength to maintain. 2) a shorter stride, rapid cadence with palms facing away, rotating the hips slightly with each "stride." The rapid cadence increases my heart rate. 3) also a shorter stride, rapid cadence, but now with palms facing toward me and with my body slightly closer to the machine. (In the arms, you're using esp. the long-head biceps with this motion.) Again, the rapid cadence here keeps a higher heart rate. By cycling between these 3 basic postures through the workout, I notice I'm putting emphasis on different muscle groups in the arms, lats, butt and glutes. It is aerobic and low impact. It's possible to shift into anaerobic bursts (HIIT) with the #2 & #3 strides described above.FOOTPRINT - is small when folded. You can fit it into a closet but it will take up hanging-clothes space. I need 2 minutes to fold/unfold it.STABILITY - very stable for something that can be easily moved around. I weigh <160 lbs but I think it would be stable for someone much heavier than me.WILL IT LAST? I've only had the MC XL-2000 hydraulic for 2 months. I sense it will be durable. In terms of price versus quality, durability, and quality of workout - I highly recommend this machine as a great investment.I would especially recommend the MC XL-2000 hydraulic if: you have a small living space; you "think" you want to exercise at home but not ready to spend $2,000 or more for something else (this machine is ON PAR with many other cardio machines that are much more expensive); or as "something extra" - you want something at home for short, quality workouts when you didn't have time to do that longer workout you had hoped for today.I'm a sucker for buying / testing out different equipment. I've never written a review but I'm writing this one to encourage you to consider the MC XL-2000 hydraulic. Remember consistency ---> health results. This machine is helping me to stay more consistent in my training. Good luck.

Resistance is strong!
I assembled the trainer in about 30 minutes, no problem. One part, the right pedal, arrived broken but the unit still works. I will update this review if the company is decent enough to replace my broken part. For my first attempt, I lasted about 1 minute on the lowest setting. This is one tough workout! I am a 54-year-old woman in decent shape but I have developed 'old lady arms'. I am going to do 2 minutes each time- several times throughout the day. I can feel the burn in my thighs, obliques, and upper arms but it is a comfortable position in terms of a workout. The angle on the machine is just right and it is heavy and sturdy enough for my large, 6'2, 260-pound husband. I really like the stretch of the arm handles. The action mimics tree climbing, in a way, which is something we all loved as kids, right?I don't know how I will be able to get through all 12 settings on the machine since the easiest setting is already very difficult. But I'm an optimist, and tenacious. This machine is well-built and kicks ass. I've had it for only 2 days but I am happy so far with the purchase. Normally, I buy the lowest-priced options but this time, I wanted something strong enough for my large son and husband to use. I'm glad that I went with the more costly MaxiClimber so far.As I stated, I'll update if/when the company replaced the broken pedal. I'm leaving a 4-star rating until this happens.
