BANDAIHobby Bandai Figure-Rise Standard 1/12 Ultraman Type-B "Ultraman" Model Kit,White

I’ve never bought a figure like this before... meaning that I’ve never built one and it was a really enjoyable experience, but the plastic used to make the parts is super fragile, so if you plan on buying this I do recommend being VERY careful. I have unfortunately broken a few parts of the figure, but they are hardly noticeable which is nice. The accessories are good. The articulation is good as well, but I knew they wouldn’t be as good as I’d like. The biggest issue I have is the stickers... I haven’t even put them on yet, but seeing how small they are get tells me how much of a pain it’s gonna be... the poster is great. over all I’d give the figure 8.5/10

I bought this as a Father’s Day gift for my Dad, since he showed me the series back from the original ‘67-‘68 show. I was looking around and found this, equating it similar to the Ultraman he grew up with(having watched the show AFTER we assembled it I know why now), and so purchased it. After making sure it was sent to him and arriving on time, we went and spent an afternoon recently putting it together, him cutting the parts out and I assembling, since I could see their positions better. We had a lot of fun and he set it in his China Cabinet afterwards, putting it next to a classic Ultraman figure I got him previously. He loves it and I love it, it was a very fun day.

Awesome model. Very little trouble cleaning seam lines and hardly had any mold lines needing to be removed. Mine isn’t loose at all though if it were I’d suggest just a little acrylic top coat (pledge floor gloss) or a dab of CA to stiffen. I used a Gundam silver marker to repaint a few nubs on the silver plated stuff, not completely uniform in color but barely noticeable and from a shelf not noticed at all. Planning to paint later anyway. In fact, most of the nub removal was a breeze. They used an undergate technique and did well hiding almost all of the others beneath pieces. Quality Bandai kit and with all the effect pieces and gear plus it’s own stand it’s definitely worth the price. Oh, and the LED lights are crazy bright but you will need to pick up two LR41 button cell batteries.

Nice model 4 stars as the led never worked.I prefer to paint my models and I chose not to use a lot of the stickers and prefer actual decals.

hips are loose parts near ankles break to easy and are to small to glue the silver paint comes off very easy leaving it looking very bad i now have to try to fix it so it wont look bad

A good over all kit to build and pose, but a few spots could use some paint and a coating over the kit. Once done though, a fantastic looking kit.

銀色はライトガンメタルに近い。赤は少しマゼンタが入っている感じ。イメージと違う感じですが、悪くはないです。イメージでは漫画の特装版についていたフィギュアがピカピカのシルバーとほぼ真紅のレッドだったのでそちらをイメージしていました。他の方も書かれていますが、LED内蔵のために首の前後の可動と胴体の可動が犠牲になっています。胴体はほぼ可動がないに等しいです。LEDユニットのスウィッチを入れるためにアルティメットルミナス・シリーズと同じように背中を開けてスウィッチを入れてまた閉めるということになります。一回つけると3分間点灯した後自動的に消灯します。ちょっと面倒なのと3分間の点灯は電池の消耗が激しそうで心配です。スイッチは背中を開けないで済むようにくらいはして欲しいところです。可動は腕だけはまあまあです。足は前後はともかく横には20度くらいしか上がらないのでハイキックなどのポーズは無理です。あとスタンド接続用にお尻に四角い穴が空いているのですが、それを隠すパーツかもしくは差し替えのパーツはないので、お尻に四角い穴が空いたままです。それほど気になるものでもないのですが、なんだかな～とは思います。セブンも買う予定でしたが、迷いが出て保留しました。胴体の可動がないと今ひとつダイナミックなポーズが難しいので、ならいっそ固定ポーズのフィギュアのほうが多少高くても良さそうと思ってしまいます。この手のプラモは可動して当たり前になっていますが、初期のS.I.Cのように固定ポーズもしくは半固定でかっこよさを追求したものなども出してくれるとありがたいです。このULTRAMANも股間や腕の付け根などがスカスカで中に人が入るスーツという設定には到底見えません。無理に可動しなくても良いのでは・・・。スタンドは最近のバンダイのやり方で無理やり既存品で間に合わせていますが、スター・ウォーズのビークル系のように専用スタンドを復活させて欲しいです。汎用スタンドは無駄にスペースを取る割にアームの微調整ができないのでいらないです。製品としてそれほど悪いわけではないですが、今後あまり期待できそうもないシリーズのようなので星３つです。

I’m having fun building this. Not finished yet but the box it arrived in was extremely smashed and beaten. Luckily though. The plastic survived and I will be able to continue to build. But if yours arrives like this. Check your items before you start building to make sure nothing is broken.

ULTRAMANを、3種類購入したけど、個体差なのか、メタリック塗装が、荒く少しガンメタに見える。自分は、塗装が下手なので、塗装済みキットは、嬉しい。

this could be an isolated issue but i was sent a ultraman model kit not a figuart it is of the same character but it is not a figuart this however could be and isolated issue and i'm still happy with the model kits mainly cause i like building them
