Save money and rebuild your starter!!!!
I thought the product was great and it worked great. But you guys failed to mention that I had to solder 2 of the brushes back on. It set me back a day but I ended up buying a soldering kit and finished up the install

Typical 2022 Immoral, Shady Business
Between the cheap pos Chinese wrench they include as a real bonus, the $13 fee for returning unused parts & the contacts literally 50% worn through & gouged after a year of use (not installation error, simply crap material) you might be better served purchasing from one of the several other companies selling starter parts.

Took the starter off and took it apart to find that the brushes were completely bottomed out and no longer making good contact with the commutator
I noticed over a week or so my 12 valve started cranking slower and slower every time I started it til it got to the point it wouldn't do anything at all.Took the starter off and took it apart to find that the brushes were completely bottomed out and no longer making good contact with the commutator. The solenoid contacts were slightly worn but nothing that warranted replacement so I bought only the brushes and brush holder, replacement was relatively simple, cut the old brushes out, dremel the copper clean and bare, and solder the new brushes in place. You'll definitely need a big soldering iron, my 70w iron struggled bad but a 100w weller gun would likely handle it.
