Review after 2 years of heavy use
It's been a couple years of using this pack. I thought it's been enough time that I can offer an honest review on long-term usage.About me: 100-mile ultra-runner.Capacity - [Pros] I've never had capacity issues with this pack. Just when you think there isn't enough space, the "garment quality" fabric they advertise stretches to accommodate some extra load. In fact, I've started using this pack to stuff my work clothes in a ziplock so I can commute via running. I can pretty regularly fit 3.2 litres of water in the pack, using the front pouch for electrolyte mix. There's even more space for nutrition and empty wrappers (pack it in, pack it out, people!). The zip compartment is accessible without taking the pack off.[Cons] One of the big draws for this pack was the pole holders. Unfortunately, I never, ever, ever use them because they're horribly designed. In so many words, they dig into my back, are difficult to re-sheath, and ruin the ergonomics of the pack. Not a big deal for me because I have other pole-solutionsComfort and load distribution - This pack is mostly comfortable. This pack distributes load remarkably well. I never feel off balance, and the straps are easily adjustable mid-run to accommodate the change in load while you exhaust your water and nutrition supply. Once you learn how to use the pack in a way that's right for you, everything is pretty easily at-hand. Although I have had to take the pack off mid-run sometimes, for most items, you're good to go without breaking your stride. This is a welcome change from some other packs that require fishing around to get your items. I consistently run 20+ miles with this pack; I don't feel like I'm fighting the pack, and a 3-liter water load feels lighter than it has in other packs. I also use this pack for my races.[Cons] I wish this pack had more adjustment straps, especially with the shoulder. I notice that with this pack a subconsciously tense my shoulders to compensate for a lack of shoulder adjustment. Specifically, the weight rides too low on my chest for my preference. I compensated for this by making modifications to the straps with a needle and thread.Durability - This pack has held up. To date, it's clocked just over 2000 miles, including thick vegetation, stuffing and unstuffing, sweat, impact, and scrapes. Everything still works as intended. [Cons] The pack isn't perfectly durable, i've had to make repairs to one pocket to avoid ripping, and the thin fabric makes me occasionally nervous to put my car keys in. However, a simple needle and thread has extended the pack's. Not a big deal at all, and frankly, would should always take care of your gear. ALSO, the bladder is pretty poor. it burst a few months into use. Get ready to get a replacement bladder (preferably from a third party with better durability)Final words - This pack has been my trusty companion for many many miles. I love it! It's not without its flaws. I simply love the design and ease of use. I'm still exploring the different options of packs that are out there, and will therefore probably not get this pack again when it's time to replace. However, it's an absolute workhorse and I'm by no means disappointed with the product. It's every easy to wash, comfortable, and has a special place in my heart. If you're thinking about getting a pack, I can say from the bottom of my heart, this pack will get you thoruhg the miles you need to get through.Best way to describe it: it doesn't have any one weak spot. Where a lot of packs get an 'A+' in one area it might get an 'F' in another. This pack gets "B's" across the board, and I'd rather havea pack with all B's than some A+'s with F's mixed in.Hope this helps. Happy running

Almost perfect...
I didn't want to write a flippant review until I had used this pack many times. Now, after months of 3 days a week trail running, I'll add my two cents and do a review. Like I said his pack is almost perfect. The pockets are very handy for gels, my gym boss (timer), cell, etc. I hand wash it and it stays super clean. Heading into a bit colder weather, so the large pouch on the back will come in handy to stash my windbreaker and gloves. The fit is perfect. I can have the bladder completely full and I hardly feel like there is any weight at all on my shoulders. I would have given it 5 stars but I have two complaints. It has gotten harder and harder to insert the tube into the base connection of the bladder. This is also true for disconnecting the tube. Today, it wouldn't disconnect at all. The tube slipped off, but the plastic connector stayed locked in. I've ordered a Hydrapak which should solve the problem. Another design flaw, is the fabric loop at the top of the pack. Loved it at first. I could hook it on a tree branch when I was warming up or cooling down. But, gradually, the Velcro piece that wraps around the bladder top to hold it up, kept attaching to the loop. It got to the point where it was completely fuzzy from the Velcro destroying the fabric. I ended up cutting the loop with scissors and tossing it. Simple fix. The loop should be made of a fabric that does NOT stick to Velcro, and the problem would be solved. Don't know what to say about the bladder. I've had other bladders such as Camelbak and never had an issue like this. Okay, that's it. It's a great pack and I highly recommend the purchase. :)

Great pack for long runs
I bought this pack to train for a marathon, and I really love it. I previously was using a Nathan beltpack with water bottle but wanted something with a higher capacity for my long runs. This guy gets the job done. It's pretty pricey, but I think it was worth it. The pack is extremely well designed with pockets where you need them. The bladder works well and doesn't slosh around too much. It does slosh, it is over 2 liters of water your running with so you can't completely eliminate slosh, however after about 5 mins of running I don't notice it anymore. I really like the magnetic valve holder, it takes some learning where to place it but once you get used to it, it works great. The bladder came with plenty of extra hose. I had to cut 9-10 inches off to get the setup I wanted, but I would rather have too much then not enough. My only complaint is this thing smells terrible after a long run, worse than my clothes. It has to be washed after pretty much every run, and it says to hand wash it. Tried that and it still smelled, maybe I just need a bigger sink. I have resorted to placing the pack in a pillow case and tying it closed then washing on gentle. I also bought a bottle of Nathan's sport wash spray to soak it before I wash. That seems to be working fine and not damaging the pack. The fabric is really soft, and I bet it would be fine to use without a shirt, but it's been too cold to try that. The biggest unknown is just the durability. I have probably logged about 50-75 miles so far and it seems fine, but that soft cloth may not last, I will update if it dies an early death.

Its like a great hug
i love this vest. very comfortable and easy to adjust. i put the hose under arm, but i know some like to trim it. I am not there yet. This is good for runs and hikes. i have had many bags and hydration systems, but this one, so far is the best. I haven't noticed any excessive rubbing or jostling. the water stays cool in the flask and keeps your back cool when the heat starts ramping up. i have taken on several long runs and hill repeats and it is solid all the way around.

Amazingly comfortable.
Got it a few weeks early and already took it out on a few runs (15&20Kms). Fit is awesome. Feels really good on the shoulders and around the chest. I love the multiple pockets for stashing stuff. Fabric is super soft so anxious to try it when it's hot and humid with just a singlet or T-shirt.Missing one star because I never got the 1.8L bladder that comes with it so I'm still waiting for that. I tried it with a 2.0L bladder I had and it worked great but the bladder is a little too big. Will review again when the bladder arrives.
