I researched several bags before pulling the plug and investing in this one. BEST INVESTMENT EVER!! I love it. Don't be fooled by the size, looks small but fits so much stuff (especially if you use packing cubes), is very organized, lightweight, great zippers, looks stylish, travels wells (fits perfectly under plane seats). I love the mini pouches for accessories (they look deceptively small but holds all my charging stuff - watch, phone, computer charger and some more), and toiletries (holds all my daily makeup stuff). I also like that when Im traveling I can access my electronics or toiletries without opening the whole bag. The front pocket is great for easy access to things like wallet, kindle, keys, lipstick and small stuff. We use it extensively and it has held up well so far. Color is beautiful too. I wish it had wheels sometimes because it can get heavy to carry when fully packed, that is my only critique. However, it has a back sleeve and can easily sit on a carry on. The thing is I don't need a carry on when I have this perfect bag for short trips, it's that great ;) so double edge sword on that one. Usually I just pack it on my carry on for flights. Don't need any checked in luggage after that. All in all, I love it. It has quickly become my go to bag. I recommend it to everyone I know. Go for it! You'll love it too!!!

This is the perfect bag. It fits perfectly on top of your rolling carry-on suitcase (or standard) for ease in navigating the airport and destination. The best features include the multiple compartments and pockets that are easily accessible for your passport, wallet, liquids bag and more. I loved the suitcase style as it allowed me to pack my essential toiletries on one side and a change of clothes on the other. There is a sleeve for laptop but I used it to safely transport two small original watercolors from Italy to London to Paris and home! The bag held up through 19 days of constant use! The zippers are suited for travel locks to thwart pickpockets. Best bag ever!!

This bento bag is a sleek, durable, high quality personal carry on. All of the zippers are of high quality that glide smoothly across each opening. This bag opens up like a mini clam shell suitcase for easy packing, yet, when closed, every item can easily be accessed through the top zippers. Has an easy access laptop pocket and tablet pocket. If you like being organized, especially for those long haul flights, this bag has pockets in just the right places to hold all of your inflight essentials. It comes with a TSA liquids pouch and a tech pouch that fits nicely in their own zippered pockets at the top of the bag easily accessible when going through security. This bag can hold at least 3 days of clothes and accessories. Can’t say enough! This bento bag is my favorite personal carry on! Great investment! This bag is sized to fit under the seat in front of you, if you are attempting to not check a bag it counts as your personal item and slips over your carryon suitcase handle. It comes with a padded shoulder strap, which fits into an elastic band in the bottom of the largest section (when not in use, so you don't lose it). My favorite feature of the bag is that it opens out fully like a clamshell for easy packing. The bag is clearly designed for easy access during a flight, with nearly every section directly accessible from the outside. The zippers are quality and easy to move. The vendor says the sleeve is for a 16" laptop, but I was able to fit a 17" macbook pro in the large section and a 16" macbook air into the small padded section (both at the same time). I really appreciate that this bag uses a velcro strap to hold the laptop(s) in place for this versatility (rather than a zipper like the similar but slightly larger July "split weekender"). I wish there were one interior-only zipped mesh section for small items, and that the bag were overall a little lighter weight but otherwise this bag is just perfect. For those of you going on an international trip where they actually weigh your personal item: The bag without the accessories is 2lb, 8 oz. The bag with the accessories is 3lb, 6 oz. The accessories (shoulder strap, toiletry packing cube, cords packing cube) weigh 11 oz combined. (toiletries bag is 2.5oz, cords bag is 2.8oz, combined bags is 5.3oz) (For reference, a gallon ziplock bag is 0.4 oz) Shoulder strap alone is 5.7oz. If you're looking for metric, the accessories are 314g total, bag without accessories is 1.265 Kg, with accessories is 1.58 kg. Southwest airlines dimension is the only US airline I could find where this bag wouldn't technically count as a personal item (their limit is 16.25 x 13.5 x 8 inches, and this bag is 17.5in x 10.5in x 8in). The bag can be squished down to 17 x 10 x 8in so I guess that's where the Nomad vendor measurements come from? Currently US airlines are not enforcing the size of personal items but I have heard that's coming soon, and also I personally find it very frustrating when my personal item won't fit under the seat in front of me so felt it was time to find something smaller. Quality is very nice. Not sure it is actually worth the money. Another person shared that they were unable to pack like the influencers and I have to agree with that. You have to be a master packer to achieve what they do as it is very small. I will try packing it tonight for my trip but feel it might be going back before actually using due to size.

I researched this bag and viewed every video for 3 months. Compared and made an informed decision. I made the right choice. Although it is pricey, I travel for work 2 times per month and the bain of my existence is packing! I am a bit OCD with packing organization and this meets my needs. It is genius engineering and design. Top quality and so so sturdy. I have spent so much money on flimsy bags that fall off my carry on trolley,, flip around and are not structured. You will not regret buying this structured , stand on its own bag as your personal item. Along with my 21" carry on, I have as much space now as a checked medium suitcase !

I tend to travel light and this Bento bag fits the bill. I have always wanted one and by purchasing an earlier version was able to afford it.
