We Love Color: 16 Iconic Quilt Designers Create with Kona Solids

This is in decent condition,but I paid for a new book. Since it has a sticker from a library in it, I would say that it is not new. It has shelf wear on the bottom. This book is in good condition at best. It also took forever to get here.

Any quilter knows that the newest trend is "Modern Quilting". What is so great about this book is the contributions from 16 different designer-quilters with names familiar to most quilters. While the underlying promo is the Kona Solids, they are certainly not the only solids out there that are available. Working with solids can be a challenge for many as we have depended on the patterns of the fabric to inbue style and design. Of course, today's solids are in hundreds of colors which helps each quilter make any quilt in her own color way. I wouldn't necessarily want to make all of the quilts, but I would consider at least half of the designs to inspire me to action. The text is breezy and the instructions are not intimidating.

Excellent delivery and protection-well wrapped

This book offered some interesting color blocking designs for modern quilts. It was a great idea generator for me. I always enjoy seeing what other quilters are doing, I also like some of the short cut techniques.

If you already love the aesthetic of modern quilting, you'll just sit back and marvel at the creativity of the quilts in this book. If you haven't yet been introduced to modern quilting, this book is a great place to start. Some of the biggest names in the art form come together to produce quilts that are very different than Grandma made, but equally artful.

I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to making at least one of the patterns and adapting some to my ideas. I love solid colours and perhaps would have liked some more modern designs.

I just wish it was less advertising of the fabrics used in the examples. Liked the layout and this was easy to read

I had seen this book on so many quilting blogs and I knew I had to have it. It did not disappoint and I was happy to add it to my collection. With so many quilting books being produced, alot of them are just a repetition of what's been out there for years, fortunately, this is not one of them.

Tis is another great book for modern quilt designs. Well laid out with great pictures and well written instructions.Already wanting to get started on a couple of quilts.

The book is great, but I would have preferred a PDF format and being able to print the pages and patterns.

j'ai voulu faire le modèle en couverture .Grosse erreur car une fois tous les morceaux découpés et il y en a et des grands ! il faut donc beaucoup de tissus, Je me suis rendue compte que les mesures données ne correspondent pas entre elles. Je me suis pourtant servie d'une règle en ich !!!!! C'est vraiment du n'importe quoi !
