Nabalis Cheese Butterfly Knife Balisong Trainer, 6061 Aluminum, 420C Blade Material, Teflon-Coated, Public-Friendly Metal Trainer

Picked this up along with a Vulp pro. Although I find the Vulp pro to be an overall better product, for the price, I don't think you can find a better balisong, not to mention this thing SOUNDS amazing, better than the vulp pro in my honest opinion. I think the only thing it lacks is that the grip could be better, especially having a vulp pro to directly compare to. It still deserves a 5 star rating. Other things to note, lubing this balisong will result in a black gunk building up around the pivots, though I don't find that it hinders performance at all. But if you're overly worried about the cosmetic appeal, it is worth noting. The Teflon coating though, does feel very nice, and it gives the Cheese a very unique sound, that I just cannot get enough of. The cheese "holes" on the bite handle are a nice touch as well, I think overall the design here by nabalis is very well thought out. The weight is slightly handle biased, making it great for a beginner, but unlike a lot of other beginner balisongs, the tolerances are TIGHT. Absolutely no tap even after many drops, some may say the Teflon is fragile, but I've been flipping over hard wood and dropping it hard, and have yet to see a scratch. The weight distribution makes this a great balisong to flip. Fans are great, it Chaplins well (not as good as the vulp pro unfortunately, but that thing is just different) Overall, I think the value you get for the money, is top tier, and I cannot recommend the cheese enough, especially as a first balisong.

So I'm by no means great at flipping. That being said, for the basics I know it's fantastic and clearly capable of more than I can currently do. Fans great, basics aerials and icepick aerials are very consistent and predictable, it's smooth and extremely well tuned right out the box while dry. It also carries momentum pretty good for the basic rollovers and stuff I'm learning. Plus it sounds amazing, almost glassy. Nabalis just made another banger. Still gonna use my Nabalis canyon for my edc beater but the cheese is now my current best trainer, just don't wanna scuff the finish cause it looks great. I've only got a few trainers but the cheese stands out for sure.

Overall very good trainer I’ve been flipping for many years now and I can say this is definitely a game changer, only issue I’ve ran into is the press fitted pins and the teflon coat itself. I’ve had to replace twice. It’s sturdy until it’s not… so for it being more expensive than the canyon, just be prepared this is more feedback, I still love the trainer!

I started flipping in late 2019 early 2020 with a csgo knife and then when that broke got a crappy live blade. In 2021 i stopped flipping and came back on dec 28th 2025 with that same crappy live blade so ive never had anything with bushings or a tune etc , this came in and i was suprised how smooth it is. Ive flipped other knifes such as the kraken v3 and the orca 1.5 and those tend to carry momentum extremely well but the Cheese is a little on the handle bias side but still carries momentum good because of its weight and its EXTREMELY good for the price. Definitely recommend its very consistent and again you cant beat the price. Sorry for blue fingers in vid i was eating blue takis lol. And sorry for limited amount of tricks i never really got good i rlly only took it serious for about a month the whole time ive done balisong flipping.

Love it very smooth and the paint quality is beautiful. Feels comfortable in my hand its heavy and can tell its made well! Very durable and fun to train with!

Easy to use. Nicely balanced. Rotates nicely in hand probably due to the Teflon coating.

An astounding product, this is the first time I have jumped on Amazon to write a review on a product I have received on day one. I did extensive research on the best Balisong trainer out there in 2025 - period, not for the money (this one is affordable in comparison though to every contender), but just the best. The NAbalis Cheese came up in every flipper channels list, so I bit the rind and ordered it. The teflon coating makes all the difference in understanding momentum and fluidity in a live blade and the inherent dangers in flipping a live blade before you are ready. Ten minutes out and I am already understanding my mistakes with live blades in the past and why my Benchmades sit in drawers and not pockets. If you are a knife person AND a fidget toy lover, STOP here and order this thing as it will likely be out of stock by EOY. Word of caution, stay away from live blades until you are ready to own that risk and stay Cheesy. PS: it sounds amazing if that matters to you.
