Great little case
Love this case! Perfect for BA, Easyjet and Ryanair carry on without questions or sideways looks from the crew. Made by Samsonite but a bit better value, I think.I wanted something with no zips and this is perfect. You can cram a load of stuff in there and the clamps pull the lid tight. Lid has a rubber seal all the way round.I've put it through several trips as carry on and a couple of times as hold luggage and it is so far unscathed.Edit: After 18 months and 20 trips, the case survives well. A bit scratched up now but all intact. Last trip I had to walk 40 mins in torrential rain thanks to transport strikes but everything inside still completely dry when I got to the hotel. If this ever goes missing, I'll be getting another one.

Highly recommended
I travel lots for work and have used the Samsonite S'Cure spinner clasp case, which is very good but this American Tourister is just as good if not better. It's very lightweight, durable despite slightly flexible when empty but that's never been an issue. The case is squarer than the Samsonite which is a benefit as it is easy to show and fits into corners of shelves snugly. For the price it's unbeatable, and in black looks great. I'd definitely buy it again.

Great looking case which you can sit on!
This has been on long haul and short haul flights and has coped well. I am really pleased that I finally decided to go for this style as you can also sit on it! Make sure you sit on the wider side though, but perfect if you need a quite rest!I suppose it depends if you travel light or not. I absolutely do not do that, wish I did, but this was perfect for an 8 day trip. I suppose as it's not necessarily the clothes that take up the space, if you are a light packer, it could also do two weeks, but I would have to have a fully on hand luggage case along side it. I try and avoid that as I like to have as little as possible once I am in the airport. The four wheels an absolute dream and easy to push along even when your case is super heavy, which mine was!

Tough case with easy mobility and good features.
I wanted a hard covered suitcase, with clamps (not a zip) that held it together. The suitcase needed 4 wheels and a TSA appoved combination lock. This suitcase has served my purposes perfectly during 2 trips.Packing the suitcase was really easy as it is essentially a perfect cuboid. I folded my suits and all 3 fit perfectly within the "laundry" section of the suitcase, with space to fit ties down the side without them getting creased. I would have actually preferred a 2 rod handle, but when packing the suitcase, the single groove down the middle served as a separator for my stuff - so I didn't mind at all. This suitcase still looks brand new (apart from 1 scratch) after 2 international trips - so I am sold on how sturdy it is.I found it easy to drag the suitcase at an angle (on 2 wheels) when dealing with more rough terrain on holiday. Of course all 4 wheels glided effortlessly on smooth surfaces, such as at the airport. The side handle is very comfortable for picking up the suitcase, even under heavy load. The top handle is solid plastic and I found this to be too uncomfortable, regardless of the weight of the suitcase. For the most part, I was able to use the side handle for my lifting needs (eg down a staircase) - but on occasion I did need to use the top handle (eg briefly lifting it out of the front door or using both handles to put it into the boot of a car). This is an excellent suitcase that meets all of my needs. The top handle is only a minor issue compared to the excellent quality of the rest of the product.

This is so sturdy, and I went Bangladesh with this
This is so sturdy, and I went Bangladesh with this, and came back and its still as good as new. Bangladesh luggage controld really don't care about your luggage I been to other countires and my suitcases come out fine but whenever I travel to Bangladesh my luggages come out broken and dented and they are of good brands and bought from house of fraser. But not this one its still good as new, and the space in this is brilliant, the locking system is really good no zip which I prefer now!

A brilliant hard wall suitcase
A brilliant hard wall suitcase, it is actually quite lightweight but holds a lot of clothing. It runs well on smooth surfaces but the small wheels can be awkward on rough surfaces. The handle is easy to pull in or out and locks firmly either way. The lid has three clip closures, one on each end and the main clip incorporating a combination lock on the lond side. It also has a US security over ride fiotment so that the lock does not have to be broken if the US authorities wish to open an item of checked-in luggage.

Could be better for the price
Also sold under the Samsonite brand, i was expecting something a bit sturdier considering the price. The handle has a single stem and is plastic, it also wobbles somewhat. The wheels appear quite good, the back ones are slightly bigger so so that the bag can also be dragged. The case does not flex when i press the wheels, unlike some suitcases i looked at.This case does not have a zip and is fixed by two side clamps and the main locking latch. These are all plastic and do not install confidence. Not sure how long they will last. If a clamp broke on a trip, it could be bad. Would have liked the clamps to be a bit more metal, at least. But then, zips die too.The side handle is pathetic and looks like it will fail if the case is heavy. The inside is one main cavity. i like this as it maximises space and is simple. Some cases i looked at in shops costing around £50 were about the same quality in general, so this is a bit overpriced.Nice colour.

Very good product, we got these for a recent trip ...
Very good product, we got these for a recent trip to Australia as our Samsonite ones were a little to big to fit four peoples luggage into a hire car.The case is equally as good in quality as the Samsonite, the locking system appears to be the same and the materials used are also of a similar quality and the case was a lot less expensive than the similarly sized Samsonite. The shape of the case meant that you could fit nearly the same as the larger case so that was a good thingI think that the old Samsonite case will be left as a spare now and I hope that the American Tourister will be as good for many years to come.
