These are exactly as described and work well. They appear and feel well made. The tension adjustment and height/length stop are very easy to use and intuitive. For anyone doing repetitive bench work these are both huge time savers and also tool savers. If you shoot a quick video of the work you're doing it's easy to see and count the time you spend picking up and putting down tools. Additionally, these save space and declutter your work area.

I'm using this to hold the charging wand for my Tesla Model 3 up and out of the way when not charging. With the cable routed along the garage ceiling it's now a simple matter of pulling down the charging wand and plugging in whenever I need to charge... then unplug and release to return to set position overhead. Simple, easy, and out of the way. No more running over charging cords or struggling to wind or unwind the cord.

This is pretty good quality in comparison to the cheaper knockoffs around.

I built a worktable for my wife's arts-and-crafts hobby, and this worked out very well for the hot glue gun. I'd noticed it always seemed to be in her way unless she was using it right at that moment. It took a little convincing for her to try the tool balancer with it but now she uses it all the time.

You get what you pay for and this is the real deal.

This just has a spring that applies tension, it's not a true zero-gravity balancer. When you pull down, this still applies an upward force to your tool, even if you adjust the lift down. And adjusting the lift down causes the tool to sag, it won't go all the way up to its stop point. Also, the friction brake is super coarse, I can basically not apply it at all, or I get a harsh braking action that's like someone periodically squeezing the brakes on a bike, instead of a smooth and continuous brake.

Use it on a hose to hang from the ceiling and it has had a tonnof us and seemed to be holding up well after a few months. Deffentley a good help
