Vanuatu Waka Kava Powder - Premium Noble Kava from Vanuatu (16 oz)

I think it’s good for the money, it’s strong and very potent, and smells very woody with a hint of cinnamon. It does not taste like cinnamon at all though, but that’s to be expected with kava powder. It made me feel rejuvenated when I drank it and the effects lasted for 30 minutes or so, with no noticeable come down. It should be noted that kava produces a “reverse tolerance”, where the effects become more noticeable the longer you drink it, so that may be of concern to those just starting out or who are already sensitive to its effects.

I’ve tried probably 5 or 6 different companies and strains from different regions all ordered off Amazon and this one takes it by a mile. The others were alright and their price reflected it but I also went through it faster because of a lower potency. This one after a 12 oz cup the effects are noticeable. I’m using 1/2 a cup o kava root to about 2 qts or so of water which makes the 16 oz bag last about 7 days and that’s with going heavier on the weekends. They all taste like drinking a mud puddle and this one is no different but it does have a little spice to it. Definitely will buy this one again.

This product works exactly as it should. Normally I buy Kava from independent websites, but I figured I'd give it a shot here and I am glad I did. Faster shipping, equal effects, and essentially the same price. Kava is a calming product, and I tried it this morning and it did exactly what other brands I have bought do. It is not intoxicating in the same way that alcohol is, but it is strongly anti-anxiety. I would recommend that you don't drink it too often as Kava is pretty hard on the body, but once or twice a day may help curve cravings for other more addictive substances, or address anxiety in a much more natural way. Euphoria is mild with most Kava including this one, but noticable. The taste is awful to me, but I feel that way about all Kava.

Excellent quality kava, very relaxing.

Grabbed this because I was intrigued about the altering effects I've heard others claim it has. I made 8oz of the stuff in the proper was, as per the instructions. The only effect I felt was a slimy, burning throat. I drank it really fast too, hoping to get the full effect. I've had more altering experiences by taking 1 aspirin. ZERO effect. I felt nothing. I would give this a pass if I felt even a slight buzz, but it was all work, and all disgusting, for no reward. It was so ineffective, that I'm literally going to eat the cost, and throw it in the trash. Also, check the liver warning on the packaging. What's that about? Many people look into kava because they're trying to safely replace a toxic relationship with other substances, such as alcohol, but there's also a warning stating not to use this product if you use alcohol regularly. In conclusion, BOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo...

I’ve tried lots of brands of kava and this one works the best by far. Almost every other band actually had no effect on me at all. One other brand I tried had a very mild effect. This one actually gives me a very nice relaxed feeling, like kava is apparently supposed to. I don’t know why none of the other ones work at all. But I do know this one is the only one I’ll buy now. Tip: you have to drink it on an empty stomach for the effect (or at least I do!).
