Why did you pick this product vs others?:You have no idea how many Mandoline slicers I have gone through! Some of them just weren't precise enough, some of them had such a small surface that the vegetables didn't fit, some of them trashed my veggies, and some of them were just insanely difficult to clean. That's my only concern with this one. But it's dishwasher safe so that's helpful. It slices fabulously! The onions and tomatoes came out perfectly. I've been comparing everything to my old pampered chef slicer, which I still miss. But this is a close second because everything is all in one and you don't even have to take the blades out, which is good for me because I tend to be a bit accident from. My only complaint is that the instructions are almost nil. They really tell you nothing. Good thing I already know how to use one of these. I was hoping for more precise instructions on cleaning, but what I got was something very brief. I will figure it out. Other than that, this is a great product.

This is not one of the cheap plastic things that you get from Target! Don't get me wrong, I loved my cheap-o, but you can feel that this one is a serious piece of kitchen equipment. I can't speak about it's durability, because I used it for the first time today, but it is pretty much all metal and FEELS like it's going to last forever.

I could be me. The device really works, but safety is a concern. The mechanism you hold onto doesn’t really stick to what is being sliced. Then again that could be me.Needing a lower profile for storage. That could be worked on, and should be easy to fix. The hinges for the elevated feet make it impossible to store flat.

So far it has worked great - easy to clean - like the fold down option to provide a great angle - good options and easy to use.

I bought one of those facebook specials. The kind that you crank. It arrived in about six weeks. Broken. A $40 plastic piece of trash. So, it bought this instead and am delighted.It is solid and sturdy , does not slip on the counter, opens up for super easy cleaning, and folds up for compact storage. I highly recommend this product.

Beautifully made, very sharp ! Love all the extra ways to cut different designs

Gloves are way too small, even for normal sized women’s hands. It slices, but leaves a lot of potato without slicing it, and that part just falls off the food holder. It cuts, but doesn’t cut all of the food.

Very well made and folds nice and flat for storage. I make a lot of homemade pickles and this makes nice slices. Sturdily made for frequent use.
