A good sturdy and size camera
Not set up yet due to bad weather, but if it is as good as another camera I have, it should be great, just have to wait for good weather, and it's raining again so another day gone, I find they are a well made, easy to set up, and living in a flat it's size and weight so perfect for my circumstance , I find the pictures are v good, day and night, had no problems with the other set up I have, but as this camera is not setup yet I can't comment any further on this model, but for the price give one a try.

Brilliant surveillance cam
Having already gotten a Tapo smart doorbell, I decided to buy this surveillance camera due to the fact that there are management-owned bushes growing outside my front door that blocks the view of my doorbell camera and needed a CCTV of the place from overhead. This CCTV camera was better than I expected. If you have a flat metallic surface on the outside of your house, it will facilitate the installation process. The camera's mount serves as a magnetic base for both the camera and the metallic surface you wish to attach it to. Fortunately for me, there is a large strip of metal directly above my door, so I was able to get away with the easy installation route.Because I set up this device without its included solar panel, this means the camera's power depends entirely on its built-in battery, which does last for quite some time. For me, it lasts roughly a month between recharges. I live in a gated community where my neighbours would occasionally walk their dogs or kids would play about in my area, so it would naturally run down the battery due to multiple detections per day. With the 4K quality and Starlight AI Sensor, you can practically see anything you want to in clear view, even at night without having to turn to IR. The quality is good, but I would not expect to have the camera set to record in 4K, as a higher video resolution is guaranteed to take up storage much quicker. Thankfully, the Tapo app has a feature where you can loop record (automatically remove old footage and store in new footage simultaneously), but I'd rather have as much saved footage as possible, just in case. This camera comes with floodlights and a speaker. The floodlights are great - they can illuminate anything within 5 to 10 meters, and with the camera settings, can even be used as flashing lights whenever a person or a thing is detected within range. Frankly, the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired - one would have to practically shout to be audible. However, I personally bought this device to serve as a surveillance camera, so the sound doesn't really matter to me at all. The speaker can be used for two-way talking and siren blaring, which depends entirely on the user's preferences.Because this camera operates entirely on a magnetic mount, I would highly recommend this camera to be mounted well beyond people's reach. The camera has a SD card slot for video storage. If anybody swipes this camera, your goose is cooked. There is a service called Tapo Care where it can cloud-store unlimited footage for you, but if you'd rather save your money and depend on SD storage, then keep this thing out of people's reach. With all that said, the only downside to this device I personally had was the lagtime to access live and stored footage, particularly during the daytime. Sometimes, it would take at least 10 seconds to gain access. Sometimes, I wouldn't even be able to gain access at all. I found out the only remedy to this was to get an outdoors Wi-Fi extender, which helped significantly.

Install and continue with your day without maneuvering cables into you home
My initial concern before I bought this kit was battery charge during the winter and waterproof. Guess what' ever since I bought this, which is like 4 months now, it's always got full charge every day. And this was during the winter Nov to March. Perhaps its the location of the garden getting enough sunshine everyday. And I've never had any problem with water ingress into the kit.The camera has got excellent picture quality, senses movement without any problem. It is so easy and straight forward to install. Though pairing the camera with my phone, in order to set it up proved a little bit of a challenge. But that could be because I have an S9 plus Samsung phone which was 6 years old. When I initial bought it, you could not connect this camera to use the Tapo Hub memory, which came with my Tapo camera front doorbell. However, 2 months later, an update allowed the use of the Hub. But I've already bought the memory card anyway. Perhaps they should have released the software update before I spent 32quid on memory card I'm no more using. The Tapo app is one of the reasons why this kit is an experience. Navigating through the app is so easy and uncomplicated.Overall, this is a good kit in terms of quality, performance, robustness and full waterproof. I wish I knew and had gotten this camera years ago.

Quality camera at a decent price
For the price this is a great quality security camera. Image & night vision quality is superb.Area intrusion, person & motion detection make this a far superior option than having an ordinary, dumb burglar alarm. Some time & care should be taken when setting up these options though to avoid being bombarded with notifications. There is the option for paid cloud storage and privacy zones but at the moment I don't feel the need to pay for these services.I had no problems setting up the camera & connecting to wifi, other than installing the SD card*. The power lead for the camera is approx 2m long & had to be run through a wall. It would be nice if the camera had a temporary backup battery, in case of a power failure.*It should be noted that the Tapo cameras do not like dodgy micro SD cards. They will only work with legit, quality SD cards (ie brands such as Sandisk or Kingston class 10 cards).
