Better than I expected. This one is as good as any I have seen build-wise. It is a bit noisy as it ratchets, but that's fine as it locks in and releases perfectly. Hose is of excellent quality. I was going to change the fittings to low-restriction fittings, but these are excellent and less restrictive than some of my old ones, so I think they are fine for my needs. Leader hose is much longer than typical, which is one reason I wanted to buy this one. There are no issues as far as hose rewinding, as the spring mechanism is strong, so I kind of wish I got the longer hose ... I don't think there would have been any problem rewinding it. Looks great and very professional on my wall. Easy to mount and of a nice weight - not too heavy but super-strong frame.

This works great. A few things to keep in mind: 1. As you unwind the hose, you will hear a clicking sound. That means the lock is engaged and you can release the hose without it rewinding. To rewind, just pull the hose until you don't hear the clicking and it will rewind all the way. You may want to keep a hand on it if you have deployed a fair amount of hose just to control the speed. 2. This item comes with the hose coiled around the spool. 65 feet of hose is pretty heavy, so I found that deploying nearly all of the hose prior to installation made the task a lot easier. 3. Installation on a wall is pretty easy as two of the screw holes are key eyes this allows you to screw one of your screws (a top one) into the wall and then hang the unit on that screw while you complete the installation (putting in the other 3 screws. The screws provided are sufficiently robust. 4. The kit includes some pretty thick wall anchors, but I would recommend making sure you catch a stud with at least two of the screws. Loaded, this reel is pretty heavy, and you will be pulling on it. As I mentioned, wall installation was easy for one person. If you plan to mount it on the ceiling you might want to get someone to help you. 5. I mounted this on a wall that my compressor is adjacent to. If you are going to mount this on a ceiling or on a wall that is not right next to your compressor, you may need a longer supply hose. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and functionality of this reel and the accompanying hose. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

You'll feel like you are at a professional auto repair shop when you install one of these. I had the old style air hose that wasn't mounted like this unit and was constantly coiling it up and moving it around. I mounted this to the wall in my detached garage and it's perfect for airing up tires! The recoil action works great once you get used to it. Pull out the hose and give it a short tug and it stays the length you rolled out. Tug it again and walk to the uint and it relies the hose back in perfectly. The hose is of good quality and thickness.

Ok, I can say this...... I can not believe how long I waited to do this.... I always used my Air Hoses, less than I really wanted to, due to the annoying after task, of ROLLING BACK the air supply hose. This I purchased this item,as my own gift for Christmas this year.... I am an older dude, have worked in my farm shops, wood working shop for decades...... and ALWAYS hated to deal with Air Hoses, unless no options were present. I installed this, WOW,, Now i have the 65 foot range. It stays up at ceiling out of way. No connect of disconnect from compressor, Just pull hose, change tool on hose etc....Done.... Then it rewinds, and no issues with the hose . 65 feet of this hose reaches most areas i need in shop.... I can,t believe, I now use this air compressor every day............even though like most my tools are all battery powered....... BUT AIR IS THE ANSWER FOR MANY THINGS...... great product....... READ INSTRUCTIONS... When Pulling out, every revolution you will hear loud CLICKING,, this is the time you gently release your pulling pressure, it Locks in Place.....
