Extech 412355A Current and Voltage Calibrator/Meter

This does its job and meets spec, which is rather coarse, and does indeed oscillate irregularly when looking at the output with a 6.5-digit DMM, but all this noise is within spec. The construction overall is certainly not great, and in my particular unit, the display panel loosely flops around inside that half of the clamshell. I thought it was the battery at first but that was ruled out, and I can even see the panel flopping freely inside the enclosure. Unfortunate.

.... but for the price it should feel solid. I've bought $30 toys for my grandchildren that had a better feel than this. I can buy a Nintendo Switch for what this costs. It doesn't do much really and is way overpriced for what it does. I bought it because it is associated with the Flir name which I thought was quality product and functionally it may be but otherwise it just seems cheap. Just know this when you pull the trigger to purchase.
