Love this massage oil!

I don't like passionfruit. But I am not eating this so I deided to take a flyer on it. I'm glad I did, but I still wasn't wowed by the smell. Likely though if you love passionfruit, you'll like the smell more than I did. Had this have been lemon or any citrus I would've likely loved that.As for the way this is made and the claims, I agree that it is well done. I didm't read anything that was blantantly false. And if this truly is an American company, that also ups the game a little for me. Finding stuff like this in the US is not always easy to find at a reasonable price.But my biggest concern was the duration of the product when using. It isn't excessive, but it absorbs quicker than I'd hoped. Reapplication will be neccessary when working an area for more than a couple minutes. So be aware of that. It is very soothing and very nice feeling oil though. It leaves a great feel to the skin. Its tough for me cause I think to folks who love the smell, itd be a 5. But to me for the smell and slightly shorter durtion, I have to give it a 4. But in reality, it is a slightly higher to me. So I hope folks read the review and not just the 4 stars. I wish Amazon allowed half stars. I'd have said it was 4.5 then, and that would've been much closer to how I feel about this product.

I have bought this and recommended it to many people over the years but the formula has changed. It now smells chemically and is off putting. I returned this.

This review is for the Herb & Root Massage Oils (Spiced Cocoa).I really wanted to like this massage oil. It's made in the US by a family-run business. Unfortunately, the scent doesn't appeal to me at all. It doesn't smell like chocolate; it smells like the scratch-and-sniff version of chocolate. I tried it a few times, hoping the scent would grow on me, but I dislike it so much, I just wash it right off.In terms of the massage oil properties, I have to agree with other reviewers that it rubs in fast for a massage oil. This could be a good or bad thing depending on how you use it. It's great that you don't feel greasy for hours after using it, but you may end up using more for an actual massage.I gave it 3 stars, mostly for the smell, but also that it seems less like massage oil than moisturizing oil. Others may enjoy this scent. I wish I had tried a different one!

I got this for the occasions I give my husband a back massage, but I noticed that it could be used as a moisturizer for the body as well, which was interesting.Usually massage oils are WAY to oily to use for anything other than intended, and then you have your greasy hands to figure out what to do with.This massage oil isn't like that at all! It's smooth, and goes on nicely, but it's almost like a lotion in that it rubs in (as long as you don't go pump crazy), leaving your hands virtually residue free. Im able to use this instead of lotion, and my skin is looking way healthier! If I use it on my legs and my hands still have a little on them, I simply work the rest onto my arms.That being said, because it doesn't glide like typical oils, you do have to use more for a massage. It's not a bad trade off given the multi use though.The smell is very nice, and it doesn't smell faux/candle-ish like a lot of vanilla scents can be. It's a very pleasant spiced vanilla.I haven't tried the flavor, so can't comment there, but given the ingredients, it's probably just a basic bland vanilla/oil. I'll update if I try it.This is a great multi use massage oil, and I'm so glad to have it!

I did notice that my bottle had a slight oxidized taste, but since I’m using it for massage purposes, this wasn’t a major concern for me.The main reason I’m rating this product four out of five stars is the packaging. The bottle feels a bit flimsy, and on my first use, I noticed oil leaking from the top. I’m unsure if this will be an ongoing issue, but because it’s an oil-based product, a secure bottle is important to prevent potential spills or stains during storage.Overall, this massage oil has a pleasant scent, good absorption, and works well for massages. Just be mindful of the packaging.

I ordered and received the "Herb & Root Passion Fruit Massage Oil." I chose this product because it claimed to work as a body moisturizer, which was my intended use. As a passionfruit enthusiast who grew up in a country where they are abundant, I always look for passionfruit products here in the US.I have to say, I was a bit disappointed in the past with other items, but this time, oh boy, what a difference! The scent of this oil is heavenly—it genuinely smells like passionfruit! It's sweet yet tart at the same time.I tried using this oil as a moisturizer on my legs (and, by extension, my hands). The consistency is lovely and smooth, making it easy to spread without any stickiness. It made my legs feel as though they had been perfectly buttered up. I couldn't help but rub them together to enjoy the softness.Additionally, the scent lingered for hours, which I found delightful. I appreciate that it's made with a short list of natural ingredients that I can recognize. The bottle is quite large, and I'm looking forward to using this oil many more times. If you're a fan of authentic passionfruit, this oil is definitely for you!
