ORLY no Bite (0.6 oz) for Nail Biting and Thumb Sucking

This no bite bitter taste works great to remind me I’m biting my nails. It stays on very well and I remove and reapply every week or so. I’ve tried others but this is the only one I will recommend and it doesn’t look obvious on the nail just a slight shine like clear nail polish.

This stuff is AMAZING!!! Just after using this for 2 weeks I finally see white fingertips starting to grow out! I haven't seen my natural nails grow in over a decade as I am a hardcore nail biter. I didn't even know this stuff existed. Okay, so, as for the flavor that repels you... The moment you put your finger to your mouth it tastes like eating raw aspirin with a slight sting (like a numbing effect?🤷🏻‍♀️). It's weird, but let me tell you... I appreciate the fact that the taste lingers really bad in my mouth to the point where I have to rinse my mouth out with water a few times. I like that it is clear and it dries super fast after you apply it on your fingernails. Additionally, once it dries, it does not smell whatsoever. I can't even tell that I have it on because there's no smell. Lastly, I have to reapply it every 5th day or so because it does peel off a little bit, but then again I also work with my hands. So, there you go. I'm so glad the Amazon algorithm recommended this to me. Lol!

I’m giving this 5 stars even though this did not work for getting my daughter to stop sucking her thumb but I’ll tell you why. I think she’s from another planet. I put it on her thumb nails and she is so adamant about sucking her thumb that she didn’t care, she just shoves it right in her mouth and doesn’t even wince. I’m giving it five stars, though, because while it did not work for my initial problem, I must’ve gotten some on my finger nail and I went to bite it for some reason and OMG this stuff tastes so bitter and gross! I don’t have a nail-biting issue, per se, but every once in a while I might do it as habit. I put this on my nails and they don’t go anywhere near my mouth anymore! It’s so gross and bitter and I wish my daughter wasn’t a freak of nature and disliked it as much as I did.

I've been biting my nails for 21 years, I lack the self control to stop myself, however this deterant adds a horrible taste and a swift reminder not your bite. My wife likes it because it adds a gloss to her nails, but for the men I can tell you it's not noticeable. Be careful with finger food withing a few hours of aplications, it will transfer the taste. My only complaint is that it doesn't last long. It's strength dwindles after 2 days and it's gone the third, so make a note to re apply, or you'll find yourself biting would realizing. i gave 1 star for flavor, which is definitely what this product delivers. i am a nail biter. during early covid i purchased this product to try and stop biting and it worked so well. my nails almost looked fake they got so much longer..... when i ran out i ended up buying several different versions (including Dermelect Resist and Ella No more biting) which i was able to stomach and continued biting my nails. i went about 6 months without this, and my nails were breaking, brittle due to biting. one of my guy friends tried this product too, and he almost gagged when he went to try and bite his nails. it’s disgusting..... but it works. i usually apply every 2-3 days because the nasty taste goes away a bit after showering/washing. the two other brands i mentioned have amazing products, specifically Dermelects ridge filler. I usually put that one on first and top it with this.

The problem with these types of product - and this particular brand is no better - is that the bittering agent does not stay in the polish. It's not just the nails that taste bad. The taste spreads to the fingertips and even down to the palms, and it's strong enough to transfer. Anytime you touch your face for any reason (scratch an itch, catch a stray hair, apply chapstick with a finger) you can taste it. And forget about eating finger foods. The whole thing just tastes like the nail polish. If you're putting this stuff on kids that frequently eat with their hands and are too young to tell you, you need to know that you're setting them up for several months of tasting the bittering agent every time they eat. It doesn't make for much of a deterrent when literally everything they eat tastes bad.

I bite my nails, cuticles, and skin around the nail. This product is good for the times I don’t realize I’m biting because it does taste like chemicals and I can choose to stop. However, it’s not a deterrent. I still bite when I want to. UPDATE: Added a photo of my nails. It did work, but it took a little time to retrain my brain!

I used these on my sons nails and applied multiple times before bedtime. It works for about 5 minutes but every morning when I go into my sons room in the morning I find him again with his thumb in his mouth. The bad taste that is there for literally about 5 minutes wears off and renders this product completely and utterly ineffective. I could understand if the product needed to be applied nightly, that I could live with, but the fact that my son has his thumb right back in his mouth overnight a few hours later shows how totally and utterly poor this product is. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PRODUCT

It is working well for my daughter. Coating does come off when swimming but that is not unexpected

Not strong enough to stop kiddo from biting. Wears off quickly
