PerfectCare Steam Generator Iron 7000 Series, 650g Steam Boost, 8.5 Bar, SteamGlide Elite Soleplate, Automatic Intelligent Steam (PSG7300/80)

Initially very impressed. Ironed everything perfectly at exactly the right temperature . However, on the second use it started spitting dirty water on to my clothes. Thought it might need to be emptied (using the descaling drainage plug) in case there was dirty inside from when it was manufactured. Unscrewing the plug was quite a tight affair but it came out eventually. Quite a bit of dirty water came out but when I tried to screw the plug back in again, it wouldn't go back in and on checking, I can see the plugs female thread on the inside is out of alignment and the plug cannot locate the thread to screw back in again. Contacted Phillips and sent pictures to them and they confirmed it was faulty but instead of offering a replacement they offered a repair. Bearing in mind this iron is less than two weeks old, a replacement is their legal obligation under the sale of good act, not a repair. They then suggested if I want a replacement I have to go back to Amazon which I did and Amazon have sent out a replacement. Just as well as the price I paid was £240 and this iron has now gone up to £400 - absolutely not worth £400 and I would not have purchased it if it was £400. Let's see what the replacement is like and hopefully an improvement on this one Update: I've been using the replacement for some months now. It is faultless, perfect ironing every time. I actually enjoy ironing now. Never have to fiddle with heat setting ever again. Just pick your garment or bedding & iron for a perfect finish. Best iron I've every owned and there have been many!!

The bentley of irons, 1: Does not burn 2: Produces a really nice finish (for bedsheets, shirts and speedily takes out creases. 3: A really nice look with the flutted glass. Its a winner, just super expensive, but i see it as worth while as i iron alot and i enjoy having well ironed clothes and bedsheets Makes things easier....

Fab iron, good steam power. Makes ironing bedding and large piles of uniforms a breeze. Auto heat setting is spot on. Very happy with my purchase!

I didn’t like this and I’m gutted. I really wanted to feel a difference between this and my normal Philips steam iron but this was just bulky overpriced and nowhere near as effective. It was poor at getting bad creases out of a pillowcase, wasn’t too bad with the steam boost on but otherwise it took three times as long to get through a pile of ironing as normal. I thought it was going to streamline ironing as I’m not able to stand for a long time but this just made it much more difficult. The base unit fit on the board on but the plate was quite narrow so that made things more difficult. I’m disappointed as I love Philips when it comes to irons but this just didn’t cut it this time.

The unit that was delivered was defective. Upon filling the water tank, the base of the unit continously drips.

sinceramente la mejor plancha y centro de plancha que he comprado, y llevamos muchas y siempre de marcas buenas. Lo mejor? no preocuparse por la temperatura, poder planchar un vaquero y inmediatamente después una prenda delicada, no quema la tabla al reposar la plancha directamente allí, es súper manejable e ligero, no empapa, vapor constante pero controlada, poder quitar arrugas en un pis pas planchando en vertical… estoy encantada con ella, tuve suerte porque conseguí 100 euro de descuento los días de Amazon, pero sin promoción sabiendo lo que ya se, lo hubiera comprado igual. Me quita horas de trabajo desagradable y esto no tiene precio!

Questo ferro da stiro mi ha cambiato la vita! Ora stiro in un terzo del tempo rispetto a prima, senza fare pressione sui capi e senza doverli sirare al contrario per evitare l'effetto lucido! Al primo acquisto pitroppo si è bloccato il gancio che fissa il ferro alla base dopo solo un mese (5 utilizzi), era impossibile estrarlo: ho fatto prima a fare la sostituzione con Amazon che ad attivare l'assistenza. Quello sostitutivo per ora va bene, speriamo non dia lo stesso problema in futuro. Peccato perché è un difetto stupido su in ferro fantastico.
