This worked as easily and well as we could have hoped for making moving a heavy king sized foam mattress an easy task. Once it was rolled up, we strapped it to a hand truck and easily rolled it to the truck. On the other side as we struggled up some stairs and down a hall we started to hear the hiss of the seal breaking, but that was while we were being very rough with it, so no surprise. The straps kept it from getting and bigger, and then it quickly expanded once we full opened the zippers. If you are going to view this as a one time use item to get a big job done, then I think it will serve you well and be worth the cost.

This works absolutely amazing! I was hesitant to buy this because of some of the bad reviews, but I went for it anyway because it seemed like the best option out there, and I needed it simply to get my mattress outside to the curb for trash pick up. After using it and it working perfectly, I can confidently say that those bad reviews are USER ERROR!!! I did this on my own (king size bed) and it was quite a task, so I would definitely recommend two people for the rolling process if it is a queen or king mattress! So to start... It was easy to slide the mattress into the bag, but make sure you give yourself enough room!! The bag did catch on my dresser, and I got a little scared, but the plastic is thick enough that it didn't put a hole in it thankfully, and it didn't jeopardize the integrity or strength of that area! Once it was in, it took about 5 minutes to make sure that I was securing the zipper properly and evenly. When opening the box, make sure you do not overlook the small white piece that you use once you have hand sealed the bag! It took care of small spots that weren't completely sealed that I overlooked and definitely would not have found without it! Once it was sealed, I turned on the vacuum and it took about 10 minutes for it to vacuum most of the air out. I then moved the mattress (much easier to maneuver at that point) to my living room floor to finish the vacuuming and rolling process. I recommend stepping on it, especially at the sides, for quicker progress to force air out faster without burning out your vacuum motor!! That only took an additional minute to finish the vacuuming process. Here is where you need two people for a queen or a king size mattress. Make sure you tuck it nice and tight at both ends and the middle at the same time and as you roll hold the edges on either end so it doesn't unravel! If you don't roll it tight enough, the straps will not fit around it! The straps are adjustable so it doesn't have to be rolled to a certain size, but it does need to be rolled tight!

Unfortunately, this vacuum bag didn’t work for me. The material feels flimsy for the size of the mattress. I wouldn’t recommend this one. The idea is good, but the quality just isn’t there. The bag seemed fine at first, I vacuum-seal my king mattress and it was all compressed and all tied up. It was easy to move and made storage easy but it was leaking. Definitely not durable enough for larger mattresses. I returned it and wouldn’t buy again.

This worked surprisingly well and kept vacuum until I was ready to let it expand after a move. It cost only a little more than a regular mattress bag for moving and is a very thick plastic. I figured if it didn't hold the seal, I could use it as thicker regular mattress bag. I left my cooling cover on which made it a bit thicker compressed but was still fine. My 12 inch Casper memory foam king size mattress was vacuum sealed for 1 week. The first picture is how it looked unrolled on my bed at the destination. The second is showing it rolled. I also used 5 inch movers shrink wrap which I highly recommend as an extra safety step. I would not rely on those stupid rainbow buckles to do the job and this preserves the bag for future reuse (not that I ever want to do this again). It also prevents movers from picking up the mattress from the straps which doesn't sound like a good idea. And you really only need 2 buckles if you shrink wrap it, which is nice if you broke the rest trying to get them on... I took 1 star off because the snap buckles are too small and impossible to cinch once on. Make sure the plastic adjustment buckle has a little room from the snap hook or it will crack under tension when you are trying to connect the buckle. One snapped trying to get it on which seems par for the course. You also need to be careful putting on the buckles as the hard plastic can puncture the bag if you aren't careful. Every other maker of this product does it another way for a good reason. A buckle sounds easier but is actually way harder to use for this application. So 1 star off, but the product works and the price was lower than competitors so 4 stars. It compressed well using just my Dyson v11 vacuum cleaner with the attachments off. I did a King size mattress alone but I wouldn't recommend doing it alone if you can help it. A 2nd person makes it go much quicker as they can walk on the mattress as you compress to ensure it compresses evenly. It is also much easier to roll it and cinch it with someone holding it down. I also compressed it on the bed frame which made it a a bit harder to straighten the edges out but it was doable. If you have ever used a vacuum bag before, the same principles apply here, just on a larger size. First off, ignore the instructions! Do not start from opposite ends and work your way to the middle like the instructions say. Good luck trying to get it straight if you do! Get the bag on, use 2 of the zipper things one hand following the other end to end and do it 2 times, starting by pressing on the outside zipper lining then the inner zipper lining. Make sure the bag top is as straight as possible, with no wrinkles, and the mattress is centered in the bag with as much space as you can to the zipper. Don't press too hard at first or you can rip the bag if it isn't straight. If you have ever seen vacuum sealed meat in the middle of a bag this is how you want your mattress! The easiest way to do it is to start by casually sealing the bag, then start vacuuming. Don't worry about a good seal yet. Just make sure that the area around the vacuum port is flat and smooth. Stop after the bag isn't baggy but before the mattress starts to compress and now straighten the zipper area and all sides. Make sure the mattress is not pushing up against any of the sides. That's how these these bags pop when you roll them! Don't worry about the seam in the middle of this particular mattress bag. Mine was twisted on the bottom which I thought was a problem. It wasn't. What could have been a problem was me trying to move the mattress too much while it was still on a bed frame! Try to smooth out any wrinkles as much as you can, then carefully zip the bag starting from the outer zip line then the inner one with two zipper things one after the other. Now pinch with just your fingers. If the bag is not aligned, use the zipper things again until pinching with your fingers has no effect. Now compress like crazy, stopping to even out the mattress, and smooth out wrinkles as much as you can. Last note, this bag fit a 12 inch king mattress with a cooling cover perfectly. I am not sure if would work for a similarly sized Cal King, which is longer. I recommend it if it is a good price. If not, go with their competition that doesn't use a stupid buckle. Take your time and have patience and admire your rolled taco mattress when it is all done!

I have a Lucid 14 in memory gel bed. It's a hefty one but I was able to successfully vacuum seal it and roll it up. This process did take quite some time, but it worked great! One thing to add is I would not recommend the pump that is available for purchase. It was a waste and barely let any air our.
