very good value
Great fryer, heats up quickly, plenty of room, good quality and price. I now have 2 of their fryers, the smaller one I bought first just to cook my chips in, and to save on changing my lard all the time wanted one for my fish, so I swapped them around. I bit extravagant I know but I do eat a lot of fish. And as I cook in lard and not oil, my chips come out beautifully brown and crispy, and a big plus cheaper than oil. So I can honestly recommend these fryers and the make.

Give the oil extra time to heat up
Cooks fine, but can't remove fry basket for cleaning or easy oil changes. Not sure when oil has reached the correct temperature.

My best friend
At last …..tasty chips ! I was never very impressed with chips in the air fryer…. But after reading the reviews on this chip maker I must say I am delighted with the results! They cook quite quickly too which is a bonus ….so hey ho….best things I’ve bought on here for a good while !!!! 😃

Basket is not good
This would be a really good chip pan but the basket is very flimsy and it's not very big I bought as I have a family you can get one portion of chips in per person which is very annoying. Not worth it if you have a family

Cooks enough chips for three
Although much smaller than my previous fryer this is adequate for our use. I used to have quite a large fryer and had replaced it for a double 6 ltr (12 ltr total) fryer which was great for making batches of fish and chips, fried chicken and chips etc. etc. One pan was used for frying meats and fish and the other was only used for chips. It got to the point where it was uneconomical to use the double fryer and it wasn't getting as much use. So, I got rid of the double fryer and thought I now need a single fryer, like my old one. When I took this out of the packaging it appeared a little too small for what I wanted but I tried it anyway. This little deep fryer actually surprised me as it does cook enough chips for two of us and depending on what else is being eaten it's enough for the child as well so it cooks enough for three.I only use this fryer for chips and nothing else as that keeps the oil cleaner and fresher longer. I use peanut / groundnut oil as that makes the chips tastier and the oil doesn't burn at high temperature. Everything else is deep fried in a wok so I don't mind the oil being contaminated with debis consisting of spices, breadcrumbs, tiny bits of batter etc. as it is so easy to remove the oil for filtering before further use. This deep fryer can cook anything that one would normally deep fry, from onion rings, to scampi, to chicken wings, to fried chicken etc. etc. but personally I don't like the hassle of having to constantly drain enclosed fryers so the oil can be cleaned and used again, it was a lot of work when I had the double fryer.Overall, this little deep fryer has impressed me with it's quality and it's reliability. It does heat close to the required temperatures if not spot on so the results are the same every time. One of the best things about this fryer is the clear window. SImply put a little oil on a piece of tissue and wipe the inside of the window. The oil stops the condensation from sticking so one can see clearly through the window and watch the food cooking. It is really handy as both my previous deep fryer had to be opened after a while so as to watch the food finishing the cooking other wise it could burn. The same applied with my double fryer, after a few minutes the lids had to be taken off to keep an eye on the food. With this window one can watch the food cook and only open the lid when required to do so, at the end of the cooking process. For those that haven't used deep fryers before, there is a very simple way to know when food is cooked through... it floats. Everything from onion rings and chips through to chicken nuggets and scampi will float on top of the hot oil when it is cooked. Once the food starts flooating it is ready to be removed and consumed.I am recommending this small deep fruyer as it is good quality, it cooks well and it is good value.
